he stood up for level 1, and i feel we owe him thanks at least. given the batshit crazy tactics of WME, he is sort of putting himself out there, but, even if he's not, it's super cool to realize he's still a ski bum through and through, and that he still cares about the community. if nothing else, thank him for making the first ski film, or showing you the path etc.

Thankyou Josh and Warren for “bridging the gap” within our sport. Hearing Warren embrace someone like Josh, who I look up to and admire for his work, stands out to me as a milestone in the ski production world. Level 1 has taken and promoted a whole new era of skiing, and although very different from Warren’s films, they both follow the same passion. I’m so sick of hearing all the hot-doggers from the 80’s talk shit to me for sliding rails, saggin my pants, and skiing backwards, so to hear someone like warren embrace that is a true accomplishment in the sport. Just goes to show that skiing is whatever you want to be, and its more about the mentality than anything else.. this is where WME is fucked, and needs to go back to Hollywood. Hate to admit it though, but after seeing Refresh I have a new interest in Warren Miller films. Now i just gotta figure out how to accumulate those films w/o giving those greedy fucks at WME any of my $$$$$$$$.CHEERS WARREN
 
Really well said man, couldn't agree more. What I find so fucked up about WME is that like you just said, seeing REFRESh makes you wanna check out Warren Miller flicks, thus giving WME some exposure. But now that they've been assholes to Level1 I'm never gonna buy a movie from them.

Bottom line... Warren Miller just gets it. Skiing's progression / that youth will always drive the sport forward / the future will be different than anyone thinks. I'm sure that's why he took off in popularity making movies, because he could convey this. With his recent actions helping Level 1, he is forever cemented in my mind as a legend of skiing and a figure to be looked up to and respected. It's a huge bummer that the company with his name is so profit minded and completely out of touch with their fans.

man, i grew up watching his flicks. I'm 21 now and its crazy to think of the impact he's had on my life as a skier. cheers to, who in my opinion, is one of the most legendary figures of our sport.

its unfortunate that the young guys out there now, have only the complete utter SHIT that is WME as of late. I hope this law suit will make them realize how sick Warren Miller really is, and maybe go hunt down his older movies.

the WME movies that I've seen that he has not participated in have struck me as complete utter fucking GARBAGE.
 
yea i dont think level 1 has anything to worry about, seems all legit, yea they had to hire a lawyer, but if they are not guilty they can get lawyer fees back and stuff. level 1 is going to come out of this badder than ever.

I was glad to hear that Warren Miller has intervened in defense of his rights. This isn't about WME and Level 1, it's about Warren and WME. This debacle must be annoying to Warren, but as a skier and someone who grew up watching his movies I am proud to see him intervene and do the right thing. It must be really frustrating when the company that bears your name and supposedly carries on your legacy first alienates you and then tries to infringe on your rights. Warren Miller, the spirit still lives on with you. Newschoolers supports you 100%.

Warren and Berman should make a movie together next year.

 
warren is still the man, his narration is funny and meaningful. He has done more for skiing than anyone else and deserves better from WME. I cant wait to see refresh
 
there is probably some legality preventing this, but it would be great if the lawsuit turned around and warren miller sued WME for misusing his name and causing "irreparable damages" to his name!
 
ya warren miller is sweet. i loved his movies when i first started skiing and didnt know about level 1 field poor boys or anything of that nature. i tip my invisible hat to warren miller.
 
Warren Miller is the best. Other people make ski movies but not like him. WME messed up big time here, without warren its just not the same.
