I'M DOING THIS ENTIRE THREAD IN CAPS LOCKS FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. I WAS TRAWLING THROUGH INSTA STORIES ON MY BREAK AT WORK AND LO AND BEHOLD, THALL POSTED A 'NEW BOOTS ARE LIVE @FULLTILTBOOTS FIRE EMOJI'.

2009 NS WOULD BE FREAKING RIGHT ON OUT.

IM JUST GLAD HE'S STILL GOT A BOOT SPONSOR

HIS OLD DALBELLOS WERE PRETTY DOPE.

If he is then it’s really nice to see a company pick up an og like him. Cuz a lot of dudes lose all their sponsors when they’re older because they aren’t as good as they once were. Kind of reminds me when line picked up woodsy after Salomon dropped him. Both companies are really great at supporting their athletes

I was wondering the same thing. Cant imagine hes pushing FT without a sponsorship.. now the question becomes does he rock the new SC Ascendant or does he get his own pro model. (But who cares.. they stop at a size 30.5)

How big are your feet?? I'm a 14 shoe and am almost always in a 29.5 shell. That's a bummer dude.

You may wear 14 shoes, but 29.5 mondo equates to a 11.5 shoe size.

yeah, a rough equation for mondopoint to standard shoe size is adding the mondo numbers before the period together, and then the .5 is still equal to a half size. it doesn't really apply past size 29.5 though

so like a 27.5 is a 9.5

2+7=9 plus the 0.5

its not super duper precise, and a lot of different manufacturers boots will vary in terms of the size foot that is comfortable in them.

ALL OF YOU MFERS NEED SO START POSTING IN ALL CAPS I CANT HEAR YOU OR UNDERSTAND YOUR POSTS IF THEY ARENT IN ALL CAPS

INSPIYAAAAAAAHD TO DA WORLD

ANYWAYS, I HOPE SKI BOSS GETS MAD PAID FROM FT HE FITS THE BRAND WAY BETTER PLUS I THINK THOSE DALBELLO BOOTS THAT LOOK LIKE SNEAKERS ARE WACK SHIT IS BANANAS

(Clearly some of you do lol) but who on here actually remembers THall in all caps in the forums?? Lmao that shit was absolutely wild.

People probably wouldn’t admit it now but there were tons of NS members who did not fuck with THall at alll back then

THall's relationship with Dalbello was always a little strange. At first they marketed the Il Moro as THall's boot but i'm not sure he ever skied that boot, at least not for the last 5-6 years. The first Krypton shell was pretty similar to a FT. I skied the Raichle/ Ft shell for 20 year before rolling into the Dalbellos and it was pretty close in fit. When they changed to the Krytpon 2 shell the fit was WAY different, especially in the ankle. I hope it all works out for the Ski Boss and the FT keep that achilles locked down.

ANY THALL POST BECAME THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN THE DAY OF THE POST, HANDS DOWN. IT COULD BE MY BIRTHDAY, AND IF THALL POSTED THAT DAY, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST THING OF MY DAY FOR SURE. IT WAS wonderful.

I don’t think woodsy got picked up by line. Seems like he’s skiing whatever he feels like lately

Yo ski boot sizing directly relates to US shoe sizes as indicated above.

27=9

28=10

29=11

30=12

31=13

ladies start asking men their ski boot sizes cause they clearly are sizing up their shoe size to flex lol. (of course most people do size down in ski boots for a tighter fit)

Dude foreal, I’m taller than my homies and wear a 10.5 shoe cuz that’s what fits properly and kind of snug. Then my guy friends that are way smaller than me be like “I wear a 12.5”. A couple times I couldn’t believe it so I felt the toe box in their shoe and sure enough their toes are always like an inch and a half behind the front of it.

I think my buds that grew up skating, including myself usually size our shoes properly cuz if there’s all that excess in the front it will jack up all the control you have on a board.

My ski boots are 28.5 and fit fine. I could imagine going down one size and it hurting a bit but getting a bit more performance.

I feel these dudes saying they drop 2 or more sizes than their shoes don’t wear the correct shoe size to begin with, cuz if I dropped two sizes it would be absolutely excruciating (my feet are narrow too)

BRO NOT ALL FOOTWEAR IS SUPPOSED TO FIT SNUG IF MY WORK BOOTS FIT LIKE MY SKI BOOTS MY FEET WOULD GET ABSOLUTELY F'ED UP

By snug I mean your foot is taking up the space of the inside of your shoe properly and your big toe is barely touching the front. Not saying they should be like a ski boot lol

I just lined up my 13 adidas and my 28.5 dalbellos, idk fam they're pretty close. You'd be straight swimming in your boots if you use that chart.

Tanner got on FT last winter and hasn’t looked back! He was telling me they’re the most comfortable boots he’s ever had on his feet!

I FIGURED IT WAS SOMETHING LIKE THAT SINCE THEY THREW HIM A MENTION FOR HIS REALSKI PART, BUT OBVIOUSLY HE'S BEEN DEALING WITH SOME SHIT LATELY, AND THERE HASN'T BEEN A BUNCH OF NOISE ABOUT HIS SPONSORSHIP/PARTNERSHIP SITUATIONS. GOOD FOR HIM, HOPEFULLY THEY WORK OUT NICE FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON AND KEEP HIS ANKLES, HEELS, AND OTHER SHIT NOT BROKE.

ALL YOU BIG FEET MF’ERS GOT ME SECOND GUESSING MY 27.5 LIKE DAMN COULD I/SHOULD I GO SMALLER?

OH, THE THALL NEWS IS

bananas

IDK where you guys are getting the size comparisons from I wear 29.5s and 13s and that seems normal based on the chart

See this chart verifies exactly what I was saying. I wear 13s so I go 30.5s and it’s a pretty good fit. 29.5s before were a bit too tight to work and play in.

Been using some day makers and my B&E FTs as a COVID special for the back country and now the liners are like those girls asking your shoe sizes; absolutely clapped out.

Man, I'm between a 12 and a 13 and a 28.5 does the ticket with a 1.5 finger shell fit. I do have super wide/square feet so that effects shoe/boot fit no doubt but still. Yeah there's some room on the 13 sole, but a size down still is 2 sizes up from what shoe supposedly fits a 28.5 boot. The chart is rough and made by people that sell boots. A real boot/shell fit may start there but most fitters would recommend smaller than bigger any day

Bruh did you just post this abomination in a full tilt thread?

Totally kidding Dalbello makes great boots

Looks like you need wider shoes. Toes are like an inch away from the end but touching left and right.

14312657:partyandBS said:
Wait is that the sole to you boot or shoe??

My shoe. And the toe projects past the point that contacts the sole, its about 15mm or 0.6 inch from the tip of the insole. Usually if a shoe is wide enough I can get away with a 12. This is a 13. The shoe goes to a point at the middle/index toe, but my feet are not shaped that way.

Yeah.. He was literally wearing them last season when he tore his achilles. Go peep the footy, they are black FT's. Y'all are behind

I RECOGNIZE THAT OVER THE PAST YEARS I HAVE NOT BEEN KEEPING UP TO DATE ON THALL'S SPONSOR SITUATION. IT'S SOMETHING I REGRET. IT COULD BE BECAUSE WWW.TANNERHALL.COM IS NO LONGER MAINTAINED TO KEEP US IN THE LOOP. CAN YOU BELIEVE NO ONE HAS JUMPED ON BUYING THAT URL YET?!?!

of course he is. plus he's an old bump skier and used flexons back in the day. once any pro is relieved of their duties of skiing in their sponsors boots they hate and are forced to wear, they'd always call us up to step into a superior product. bode, bobby, tommy, jimmy, timmy, suzy .. list goes on .. all of em call at some point.

Fun Fact: the flexon/ft orginal mold is the only winter sports product to have at least 1 gold medal in every Olympics since 1984! When i was there i got mildly obsessed with figuring that out. here's a fun info graphic pulled from here

I always wondered when full tilt would make a very low volume boot for my kind of foot. Every one of them is not anything close to the volume in a Salomon S Max, and while I'd love to try other boots out, I go with what fits best.

I don’t think they really need to go more “low volume” tbh have you ever tried on a drop kick or classic shell?

I tried a few awhile back, and maybe I just have really weird feet is what it is, but every boot I've tried except for the S Max had too much space on the top of my foot.

I was skiing on low volume boots two seasons ago so I don’t have jumbo feet or high arches or anything and a full tilt drop kick with with the pro intuition liners and a harder tongue and cranked down power straps feels almost just as tight as my old lv boots imo

Maybe I'll check it out a few seasons from now, I had to warranty my boots since the plastic cracked so ill probably just have a fresh pair of S Max this year and then see about something for touring a year or 2 from now.
