THall Invitational (accessibility thread)

does anyone know what the deal is with getting to the feature? If you cannot ski to it...? I cannot imagine the event will be closed to people who cannot ski to it. I have a pass to squaw/alpine/sierra will I have to buy a ticket if I just want to walk to it? Can we take the lifts up and walk the rest of the way?

And the big question, what will happen if we get the possibly large thunderstorms/heavy rain they are saying may happen tomorrow during the day?

that is what NOAA has to say... I am crossing my fingers the weather is as good as possible but right now it is looking questionable.

As far as the access goes I have no idea what to do... limited info at this point.

I have a hard time believing that the Tanner Hall Invitational will not be catering to spectators who want to come to sierra specifically for the event... I hope?

I have a blown knee and all I want to do is see this contest, I am willing to do anything I have to to get up there but I can't ski!

Sometimes the ski patrol will be running shuttles via snowmobiles up to the venue. At least that's what they were doing for the Banzai Tour a few weeks back at Sugar Bowl, it was awesome. Maybe try and give Sierra a call and see what the deal is? I would but I've been phoneless since Saint Patrick's Day haha. Let me know if you come up with anything man.

Tried to call Sierra earlier today a number of times but all their numbers for guest services goes straight to voicemail. left 2 messages but not answer.

THall- What's up dude? We need some help here! How can I get my busted knee and backpack full of weed and beer up to watch everyone I always dreamed of skiing in a sick contest!?

I am pretty much driving down regardless but it would be cool to know what I am gonna need to do to get up to the feature...

everything here +1 besides the busted knee (but my friend has one lol). do i really have to buy a 70 something dollar ticket to see this shit? don't make a ski bum miss the opportunity to watch candide ski..come on!

I hear you - same deal with the blown knee. Did anyone hear more about getting to the feature?

If it's real hard, there's going to be a good deal going on at squaw tomorrow for shane..

you can ski to the feature, its next to the bashful park, i was skiing there a couple days ago and saw it, crazy big

ah, my bad, i shouldn't skim threads, i would think that they will be able to get pople to the event that dont have skis, sorry to hear about the knee too man.
