Tha carter 3

I'm not even talking about the message. I mean sure, that definitely makes for a great song, but I'm talking solely about listen-ability. Lyrically, these guys ruin Wayne's shit. Their production ruins Wayne's shit. And if you were getting sick of "fuck the police", tell me how you're not getting sick of the usual hyphy bullshit? I mean really?

I posted a ton of artists I'd recommend on page one, but I got really bored and decided to assemble a playlist specifically designed to point out how bad Li'l Wayne actually is. If you disagree, all I ask is that you download the songs, give at least a few of them a good listen, and make your own choice from there. Believe me though... every single one of these songs is dynamite, and there are maybe four songs out of the bunch that are from the same artist. That means each of these artists have a whole library of music that stomps Wayne. When it's done uploading I'll post her up.

Alright, my Hip Hop Preference Conversion Package is ready. Enjoy.

ha, thats your idea of underground... FAIL!

i have every single one of those songs except for "7L & Esoteric - This way" and i wouldn't consider myself very involved in music at all.

To everyone that says wayne is overplayed, i have only ever heard lollipop on the radio or seen it on TV. How can an artist with one radio song be overplayed. Maybe because i don't listen to the radio enough, oh well.

Unknown. knows what up

Listen up kid.

I, Unlike you have moved out of my parents house at 18, am living my own life in Whistler, skiing every day, and making money. I don't understand why you feel the need to make fun of lil wayne to this extent. I'm defending him, which i feel is neccessary becuase you have no idea what your talking about. I'm just going to garruntee you that I listen to alot more rap then you, and that I also listen to alot of the artists you do too. And on top of that, I have alot of shit that you haven't and never will hear of. You can hate all you want, Wayne doesn't give a fuck about you because he knows how insignificant you are. Sorry to break it to you but in reality, your just a 15 year old behind a computer screen relying on the security of the internet to protect yourself.

And don't even try to start shit with Styne, this is over, end of thread.

Sorry for the life story at the top but when some kid sais "Being succesful in life? I'm sure I'm doing better than you are homie, not a fucking doubt in my mind. I could care less who you are. And cool man, I like how you pretend to be hot shit and all hahaha." I kinda gotta defend that.

Ha! unlike you? Bitch I'm 19 years old and also do not live with my parents. I go to college and still managed to get in 60-70 days on the mountain while reeling in a 3.7 GPA. I pay for all this making upward of 50 grand a year for my parents by renting out our house in Costa Rica over online rental sites. Being a ski bum is fucking easy, believe me, I've been there. You're nothing special you twit. You can't even fucking spell guarantee, maybe you should go back to school.

I could give a fuck about Lil Wayne and how "insignificant" that codeine addicted, fake piece of shit thinks I am. I give him props for taking his worthless, no talent life and being able to make money off of his shitty music and image. The people I'm calling out are all you fuckers chanting moronically "greatest rapper alive". I do no give a fuck if you "listen to more rap than me", first off that is very presumptuous and highly irrelevant.

Where in my post did I call those songs "LOL TEH MOS UNNERGROWND SHEET EVAR"? Please, enlighten me. I didn't put them in there because they're underground, I put them there because it's good fucking music that most people who are into Li'l Wayne probably haven't heard of before.

While I was putting this together I realized that people who listen to Li'l Wayne just aren't going to appreciate the really obscure shit. I chose songs based on how much I thought people would listen to them and think "Fuck, this shit is actually dope as hell, why have I been listening to Li'l Wayne?" Stop being a bunch of pretentious douchefucks, you know that music is dank if you've heard it and no, not all of it is super underground. Then again, most all of it still flies well under the mainstream radar. J5? Obviously not. Louis Logic? Sleep? Definitely.

Now dont get me wrong, i listened to that and yeah it was all dope. however im still listening to lil' wayne

Weezy was tight back when he was with the Hot Boys, cash money, etc. I have heard some tracks off of the Carter III, and they are not that good.

Yeah i went back and reread a little and you didn't claim that to be mad underground, my bad. Not a single one of those songs make me think wayne is shit though. I actually think that the carter III is way better than nas' hip hop is dead album.

What's with NS trying to stay away from mainstream? alot of the time it is that way for a reason

People think listening to "underground" is cool. Sometimes it is... I guess

But this is like looking at the "alternative" section of itunes. Its like how indie rock has turned into a genre, not meaning independant anymore. Underground hiphop has turned into a genre.

I hate the songs by wayne with stupid stupid poppy beats. I hate lollipop, got money, among many otthers.

But Dwayne Carter Runs things.

Man seriously... i'm telling you to stop talking. You've already made a fool of yourself. If you wanna talk then fucking step up and stop being a little bitch.

Arguing this heatedly about music preference is fucking retarded. Unknown, you make yourself about to be a toolbag little bitch by taking this so seriously, so get off your high horse. I'm sorry your musical tastes are so immature that you are not only able to appreciate, but wholeheartedly defend talentless bullshit made solely for the money. Don't go around acting like a pretentious douchebag because of it.

Sorry for the double post, but I had to address your last question.

People who act all pretentious because they listen to "underground" piss me off. It's not the fact that no one knows about the music that makes it good. In fact, many times when I dig up no-name music I end up not liking it at all. I don't listen to music solely because it's underground, and I don't hate on mainstream music just because it's mainstream.

The reason I listen to "underground" hip hop is because the artists tend to actually give a fuck. Most of the mainstream artists are in it for the buck, that's why they signed with a creativity-strangling label like Sony or whatever to begin with. And if you listen to it, you can tell. The lyrics are all about getting crunk, slaying bitches, going to da club, etc. The lyrics sound like a poem you wrote in fifth-grade, where every line rhymes using one monosyllabic word at the end. The production is obnoxious.

Then you listen to Blue Scholars, Hieroglyphics, Louis Logic, Eyedea, Slug... and the lyrics are crazy. It's art. They talk about real shit and still manage to be more poetic with their language than actual fucking poets. They have flow that disgraces mainstream artists. The beats sound passionate instead of specifically crafted to earn more money from wiggers and dumb teenage bitches. In my opinion, that's why underground should be popular... If you listen to underground because it's "cool" or "trendy" to go against the mainstream, then that completely contradicts the point. I have mainstream songs on my computer, on my iPod, it's all about the sound. If a mainstream artist strikes gold and they actually make a song that sounds good I'm not gonna be an asswipe and turn it away. I just rarely find those songs.

And lastly... Nas is nowhere near my favorite artist, but he is incomparably better than Wayne in every plausible way. You honestly think any of the songs on Carter 3 can compete with Hip Hop is Dead? Listen to that song and try not to bob your head. It's impossible.

I know what you mean by the passion, but i do think that wayne has the capacity to be just as good. Listen to receipt on Tha Carter II, i think thats a pretty solid example. Also, im not going to lie - i definitely listen to a lot of "mainstream" music when im driving around. Why? because it is fun to listen to sometimes, when you have a car packed full of people.

I have listened to hip hop is dead, 28 times in fact says my iTunes. Its pretty good but i think some of the tracks off the carter III top it. I guess music is all personal preference anyway and is literally impossible to argue which is better than which.

please take the time to listen to Trouble by Lil wayne, if you dont like it go on hating him but i think its dope as hell, wayne does have another side to him i think.

dude i like lil wayne and i still dont like this kid. on another note everyone go on datpiff and download the one zion i mixtape they have on there its pretty dopesauce

Oh shit, some dumbass with a boner for Li'l Wayne called me a nobody on an online forum... I'm so very distraught... Get over yourself.
