TGR Shoot at Stevens Pass

oh hey, arent those the jumps and things another group of skiers and filmers were supposed to be skiing and filming on?! oh man if only i could remember the name. hmmmmm.
 
People need to stop acting like TGR stole the jump, Rage had the area for 2 weeks. Then TGR was scheduled to come for there session in its not TGR's fault that rage didnt get any good days in.
 
Stevens Pass was still gay about the whole thing anyway. also why couldnt TGR and Rage have some sort of collaboration session? im not pissed at TGR. im pissed because Rage did the work, and they should be allowed to see the fruits of their labor. not just be shoved aside for someone else. regardless of who they might be.
 
True dat... Weather wasn't in our favor, and we didn't get to hit the jumps very much. We put in a lot of work on them and it didn't work out. It's kinda lame that TGR hits the same ones, but whatever.

wh@t i don't know if that would even work but a collaboration shoot would be epic. they could just take turns or get some sick tandem jumps
 
I love Rage too and will for sure buy their movie next year but did you guys expect TGR to push the jumps down and rebuild them just so they wouldn't be stealing?
 
okay, then TGR should be under some sort of creative commons agreement and not use Rage's work. then again, what about natural features, you cant really copyright those booters.

idk. this is sort of a skier moral code kinda thing. you just dont do that.
 
Well so much for being stoked to see some slightly out of the ordinary skiers sesh a huge park jump... I want to see some footage but I thought I would share some photos to help scratch the itch.

Also, single features have been used for multiple shoots for a long time. It's nothing new and as much as I love Rage and wanted them to get the shot, it just didn't work out. Hopefully they can work something out to come back and hit it.

 
this would never happen if the roles were reversed....plain and simple stevens pass pro ho'd out, told a company that gave them multiple movie box covers to leave, and paid for a helicopter when they said "they were broke to rage." this is lame, ya'll know it, and personally, i wanted to see cosco, kenworthy, mertion, spong hit those features over dash, miller, and the others.
 
Where is This "Stevens Pass" for starters? How big is it, and when will this footage show up?

Those are some really good pictures. I like the one right behind the cameraman. That's a really good angle!

Hitting the jumps one crew spent a week (about) building and preparing for their riders after they had to leave is pretty lame in my opinion. It just doesn't really show respect to Rage at all..
 
Can someone please post the whole story of what happened?

From my understanding Rage built some jumps, had two weeks to session them. Their time expired right as the weather got good and now TGR gets to use them. Is this what happened?
 
rage had a specific time limit to shoot. they made the jump and waited for the weather to turn good. (witch isnt smart knowing there in WA) the time limit ended, now its TGRs turn to shoot and there using rages jumps.

i really dont think its anyones fault
 
Thats what I thought. It isn't TGR's fault, why would they sacrifice a sick park shoot because the weather didn't work for Rage. It isnt Steven's fault, Im sure they had contracts with both companies.

There HAS to be a side of this story everyone is missing, afterall it HAS to be TGR or Steven's Pass fault. There is NO WAY members of this site could be taking this irrationally and playing the blame game.
 
I'm not speaking for Rage at all, but I want to say mainly TGR for not putting any effort into building their own jumps. Kind of a moral thing, as well as the fact that now there will be the same jump in both TGR's and Rage's films. And, obviously, I don't think TGR will give credit to Rage for the jump building.
 
remember this:#1 Rage has given Stevens Pass 2 DVD box covers along with the main tour poster the last two years.#2 Rage is the ONLY crew to have a private park shoot at Stevens and have done so for 3 years now.#3 Rage was kicked out the day before the Sun came and the features were ready to go.
 
Which is irrelevant when you sign a contract. Sure TGR should have let them session together and collaborated on the jump but that didn't happen and didn't have too happen. At the end of the day it comes down to business for all parties involved. TGR probably should have let Rage session with them but at the end of the day its about money. There could have even been an underlying drive from the sponsors writing checks that no one knows about.

I refuse to take a side against TGR or Stevens Pass until someone posts a story that actually knows what happened.
 
So Stevens Pass owed them favours, and didn't go out of there way to help rage out...

No need to blame anyone I think.
 
what do you want TGR to do, tear them down and waste time, money, etc and build new jumps?

it sucks that rage didnt get good light, but that happens. it happens in Heliskiing more than not. Should TGR credit the jump builders? yes, but they are not in the wrong here. a time window expired. shit happens. I would have wanted to see cosco, spong, et al shred this, but the real world operates, for better or worse, on a schedule.
 
sounds like Stevens pass is kinda WACK for letting tgr do that , Rage kinda DUMB for not tearing the jumps down, And TGR a lil dirty for hittin the same jump......they are alll at fault
 
This politics shit is bullshit. Everyones just about money and names. Rage should have stayed and shot with the TGR crew.

Haha agreed. Man I need to get up there tomorrow if possible, TGR wont be filmin shit tomorrow with the freshies.

i think this is on skyline(maybe hogs), and i know one of those shoots is under hogsback, cuz i hit the very same thing a couple times
