Texting Problem

Sorry to ask for tech advice here, but this has been getting annoying lately. I have an HTC Thunderbolt and I use the Handcent SMS app for sending messages. Every so often I'll send a text, and it says it sent, but the person on the other wouldn't receive it. It shows up right in my conversation as sent but the other person says they never got it. inb4 your friends dont like you and dont reply

maybe like every 10-15 texts? its strange, it doesnt even give me a message failed error

ya i am positive, it even gives me a confirmation saying "message sent"

i have the thunderbolt, but i don't use the app you're talking about

i can honestly say i hate the thunderbolt though. mine sends text messages to random people. i'll have the message typed into the conversation with one person, hit send, and watch as it switches to another conversation and then sends it. also the battery life lasts like 2 hours, the mobile wifi now costs money, and the service sucks for the most part as well. i've had to restart the phone multiple times when it said i had no service, and after restarting it would have full bars. it pisses me off. /end rant

that being said, it might just be a glitch with your phone.

thankfully i've found an app that mimics the mobile wifi, and i also found out how to play pokemon on mine. pokemon is the tits

haha the connectivity problems are a pain in the ass. HTC knows this phone is a dud but doesnt want to admit it. And as for the battery, have you downloaded juice defender? It saves me so much battery, i literally end the day at 75 percent. It shuts off the 3G radio when the screen is off so it isnt constantly searching for signal. Also make sure you trun off stupid updates for the bloatware apps that come with it like the news app, that helps too.

the problem is the app. On my droid i went back and forth between the system messenger and the downloaded handcent app. I know its cool because you can customize all your settings and what not, but it will always have glitches since its not the main messenger. Might have to live with it if you want to use the app
