text files on my ipod

the ipod can also store files as a mass usb device, right? i am tryign to figure out how to put say, a word document on there, just to transport it

plug it in...under my computer you'll see your ipod mounted as a hard drive.

one of the updates was suppose to disable that, but just go into itunes, preferences, and then ipod while your ipod is plugged in. there's an option there that says enable/disable ipod as storage device...some garbage like that.

if it doesn't show up, you'll need to run the hack. i don't remember where it is so try google.

you can also put .txt files in your 'notes' folder on your ipod the same way he explained above. Only if you do this you can actually view them with your ipod. I have only found a few good uses for this but if you want that works too.
