Text a girl and ask if you can "tap dat"

Yeah this is sexual assault in 2017. Sending this text today will get you blown up on twitter, instagram, and Facebook and someone will probably email a screenshot to your boss and get you fired.

I watched the movie Sixteen Candles from 1984 I believe and it shocked me that this movie that was considered so tame and family friendly at the time would be boycotted today. China man jokes with typical "oriental music", so much misogyny from a dorky little Anthony Michael Hall towards Molly Ringwald.

Change is change and progress is progress but I'm so sick an tired of the oppression and victim olympics that have replaced baseball as the national pastime.

Sometimes are jokes are just jokes.

Ok, unsolicited and only peripherally relevant rant over. Pce

Hypothetically, if sixteen candles was in 2017 that one kid (who would have been a minor) who fucked the drunk girl in the Ferrari at the end would have been charged with rape and most definitely have gotten a lengthy prison sentence. Shit like that which was considered humorous back then would ruin your enitre life now.

That's exactly what I mean. She couldn't give consent. Also, Anthony Michael Hall's treatment of Molly on the bus and then showing her panties off would've got him locked up and expelled.

Grandpa commenting on her boobs....all the Chinese shit....it goes on.

I'm not saying everything in the flick is tasteful and necessary, but it's just crazy how so overly sensitive the world has become.

In the words of a late night comedian, sex is like boxing, if one of the participants didn't fully agree to participating one of them is committing a crime. The rape jokes were pretty fucked up just like rape is in fact extremely fucked up.

But I draw the line at this feminist "verbal rape shit" or "sexual assault" which was clearly just a joke like wtf. Or victimization of being "raped" when all the "man" did was say hi. Or even just jokes which "triggered" you. The world is overly sensitive with all this shit like "safe spaces" and has at this point become a game of who can I send to jail and get money from for what.

People have realized that rape and sexual assault is no joke which is great. But like you said sometimes jokes are infacr just jokes and not substance to ruin someone's life with. Such as this thread from 2010, there just fucking jokes man.

Sounds like progress isn't always progress.
