ive been playing online for like 2 years before it became hot and now my friends are into it so i dont feel like a sleezbag online all the time

partypoker sucks cause you go on tilts through the site. did you ever notice that you have a good streak followed by big losses, no matter how you play? rumors of rigging have lead most of the serious online players to pacificpoker or other sites, but for play money, partypoker is a good time.

^yeah i hear ya, never tried it for real but i can see how its just a scam. program the dealer to pull out a tight hand when ever the user bets big or knows what cards to play

It is not a scam....you don't play against the dealer, or the company...you play against other players. The poker sites make money from taking rakes out of big pots, and from tournament entries....so it doesn't matter to them who is winning the big pots. You would have to be stupid to think the sites are scamming you...they want big pots to be won...the bigger the pot, the bigger the rake they get.

And someone a few posts up said they don't have hold 'em in vegas because you don't play the dealer....casinos make money in poker through a rake. They take a certain percentage of the pot depending on how big it is.

FRZ is exactly right about online poker places. why would they try and scam you and potentially lose your money. i personally play partypoker.com and have no complaints. i have friends that play pokerstars as well and they like that.

also casinos can make money on timed charges as well taking a percentage from the guy on the button. casinos can take a certain dollar amount from you at each hour or certain period you sit at a table. but more commonly they just rake a percentage of the pots. i only tell you this so your not surprised if you go into a casino and dont see raked pots.

it would be so fucking easy to program blackjack to scam people... just like when u get a scratch off card and the company knows what your scratching off so they just made the dealers card higher. they dont just pull cards from a deck and put them on scratch off cards like they pulled out from the deck. the lotto is a scam man, you can win sometimes but most the time ur losing and its because they know what your hand is so they program it to pick a better hand.

yeah online poker definately sucks....i mean you cant even bluff...its not like you can see what cards they are looking at...its wicked lame...thats why i play w/ my friends for real biotch

online poker does not suck at all. it still helps to teach you fundamentals of the game like pot odds, immplied odds, how to play hands and other valuable infor you need to be good at poker. but it is true that you cant play the person as much as you would be able to in a casino.

hold 'em is phsychological and its all about reading the other players. you play on a screen online and youd lose half the game, its just odds. ive never tried it tho
