Teton Pass Ski Area Montana

Has anyone heard about a ski area named Teton Pass by Choteau MT? I looked at the website and it seemed really basic. It looks like a sweet little area with good snowfall and cheap lift tickets.inb4 Teton Pass is in Wyoming.

I skied it a few years ago, the year that the New Zealander (who I think still owns it bought it). Its a fun little mountain. Its on the front range so it can get hit real hard with wind and lack of snow. I think if the conditions were right it could be real fun. There is some good BC access from the ski area too.

Here is a link to a thread i made a few years ago about it. https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/344697/

It was open under new ownership in 10/11 but closed due to insurance issues or something for 11/12. The new owner guy wants to expand the terrain and build a terrain park too or something. There were a couple articles in my local paper about it and it looks like a pretty sick little place so I hope it reopens soon. Like caveman said that place probably gets raped by wind though due to the location.

i'm hoping to make it up that way this winter too. i imagine the backcountry around could be pretty good, the winds gotta blow the snow somewhere

TSP went in there and spent five days doing sled and skinning accessed BC last year. The segment didn't make the movie, but it's in the bonus features of Act Natural.
Lots of very interesting BC. Most of it will be fairly obvious; we found good stuff all over the northern shoulder of mountain that the ski area is on. A series of roads connects those chutes back over the little pass North of the parking lot.
We really battled low/constantly melting/refreezing snow, so I'd be curious to see what that place is like in a big, big cycle.
Fbook says they're open this year. Hoping to make it over or a day or so to get the lift experience.
