so, the remaining two years of highschool i have left. I have decided they are going to offically suck, considering my schools "new" policies

as of next year, my school will be conducting random drug testing for all athletes and students who drive to school.

complete bullshit

im going to take a picture of of forms when i get home and such.

worse yet, its at our expense. but we HAVE to go with it. its a 25$ mandatory "activity" fee you have to pay before you can participate. "activity" yeah right.

personally, i think its an invasion of privacy and a waste of my schools time and effort. schools shouldnt be able to test students on no prior evidence. and if your parents dont want you to get it done your shit out of luck becasue then you just cant play sports. also if you refuse to take it, by the way its urinalisys, its an automatic positive.

my school isnt even a bad school either. in my county, our school has the highest academics and we have the more expensive houses due to the good school system. so why waste that money on stupid stuff

what do you guys think about it. should my school be allowed to do random drug testing on students? comments. arguments.

 
I find the most fucked up thing about drug testing is that it punishes pot smokers above any kind of drug user. Seriously, all the hard drugs clear out of your system in a few days, it's pot that can be picked up even as late as a month in the future.

But I doubt your situation will last. Appeal to the school board.
 
just have everyone eat poppy seed bagels. you'll all come up with false positives for opiates and your school will feel like idiots
 
I graduated my high school in 06 and in 07 at one of the parent student assembly/meetings they gave the parents free home UA's after, which when i heard about i thought was insanely stupid
 
In Canada, drug test without student and parent consent is illegal because it is an invasion of privacy. The supreme court made that decision a couple of weeks ago. Remember, if you are under 18, you have no rights.

I recommend changing school, if possible

 
If you want to get something done have a bunch of people write and call your local state congressman and your congress men and complain about the invasion of privacy and how the cost may exclude some people and alot of times if enough people complain they will do something about it plus there has to be something wrong with that at my school we all get physicals and drug tested and results are confidential and cant be used against us not even the coach can see the drug results.
 
take the metro bus then...if it's only for the people who drive to school. It's not a big deal, plus you save a ton of cash.

you could fuck every thing up by handing out poppy seed muffins before school on drug testing days
 
yea my bad bra. you need to flush your system, best thing is water, and a lot of it. or... don't smoke, a harsh alternative i know.

just don't smoke and you'll be fine..

in lots of jobs you can be subjected to random tests too, just gotta deal with it. I dunno about in the states, but if you're on a rep team here then you can be drug tested too, so its just kinda taking the next step to test highschool teams.

not saying that I agree with it, but just that ya gotta realise that drugs are illegal and until such a time that weed is legalised people will be tested for it.

also I don't really agree that its an invasion of privacy, they've given you a choice, if you don't want to get caught, don't smoke or don't play sport. If the cops pull you over and breath test you thats not an invasion of privacy is it?

basically highschool is bullshit and the sooner you finish the better
 
just get everyone to not go in for testing, what are they gonna do? Well they could shut down the sports program all together for the year

dont submit to the drug testing

drug testing is unconstitutional and infringing on your rights

this is an example of your school or activity regulating what you do on your free time.

that's for america. so since she plays a sport, she is pretty much fucked.
