can you guys all join this thing.http://neighborrow.com/signup.php?ref=5133

It takes two seconds. Pretty much its this guy who is trying to make a website for people to like borrow shit from your neighbors and stuff. I dono I think that he thinks that he can make a lot of money out of it. I talked to him, and he said he will pay me like 50 cents for each referral or something. Usually you have to invite people like in your neighborhood, but I said I was gonna like spread the word and other stuff. I just want to see if its legit. if it is then you start this shit in you area, and get like a buck everytime someone joins, and if your like the "mayor" lol. like the head of your little neighborhood borrow thing, you get half the money they make or something.

So ya just pretty much seeing if this thing is legit. it just takes like 30 seconds to join, you get karma, and if it works, I'll tell you and you could possibly make bunch of money by being the mayor person (lol, dont really understand it yet)

thanks

and now you will drink vampire blood and your transformation will be complete, per se!might be completely off but w.e.

I thought the same thing. it's really weird though. The site is legit, I checked it out, they have links to MSNBC which did a thing on that sort of thing and mentioned neighborrow.com as an example of a good one.
I also did some other research into it
http://frugal.families.com/blog/beware-of-free-group-scams

"Here are some groups that are legitimate sources for trades and free offers: Freecycle.org, Paperbackswap.org, Swaptree.com, Bookmooch.com and NeighBORROW.com."
That quote is at the very end of the article.

I joined, but I'm still skeptical about this whole, getting money for people that join. It's really weird. It might just be an honest pyramid scheme kinda thing (if such a thing exists) Seems like the creator is just trying to get a ton of people on the site really fast. It's gonna get really hard to get people to join fairly soon, or make any money cus of many factors that I'm too lazy to list right now.

ya I think that he is trying to get people to join fast, and that he can get a lot of money from the ads or something. If i borrow something from a neighbor, I woudnt want to go on some website and say I borrowed it.
you can also get free stuff from craigslist.
I dont think the referal link was really working, but if I get money from this, I will probably donate it to newschoolers.

I joined too.

But when I checked the description and site out it seemed like a pyramid scam, down to the letter of the definition, albeit one with a sweet cover.

But yeah, maybe you'll get some $. Would be weird if it was legit- I didn't think that it was possible to keep a plan like that running
