10,000 Iraqi civilans dead (in the name of freedom) vs. 3000 Americans and 50 or so Brits, that's how i can compare it. dig up the number of terrorist caused civilian deaths since the war started and the number of civilians killed in iraq, and I will compare those more accuretly.

And yes, I am fully aware the numbers are very rough and a civilian in iraq is sometimes a civilian who was fighting, but you get the point anyways.

How do you know this for sure? all that was was a theory made up by newscast. For all we know, this could have been a premature explosion of another bomb destined for the subway.

Secondly, the perpetrators are still unknown, though a group SUPPOSEDLY linked to Al Quaeda has claimed the bombings. This group has never been heard of, and ANYONE could have posted that claim, and there is nothing of yet to back it up. Now, i havent read the 2 and what has been poisted on this page, but just seeing the beginning pissed me off because everyone was misinformed.

Finally, there were only 4 explosions, and there is thought to be a 5th, unexploded bomb on a bus outside victoria's station.

All i can say was that i was scared shitless for my sister who lives in london, but, thank god, was in Shropeshire with her boyfriend. She is also a regular public transit system user, as is most of the London population.

I don't think the G* summit had anything to do with this. Supposedly, the big topic right now is Aid to Africa, a goal achieved through the live 8 concerts.

Much more probable is the IOC's decision to give London the games. Still, i'm not sure if this WAS in fact Al Quaeda. Hell, it COULD of been the IRA.... But the timing either way is perfect, the day after the city gets the games, the public transportation system gets shat on.

Here's some info on how Al-Quaeda works:

It is not a definite organization. Al Quaida (however you spell it) means "the network" in arabic. There are some specific regional groups that act on their own power and receive funds from Al Quaida. this is how Bin Laden can have such a large task force anywhere in the world, and why it is so hard to fight a war against them. This group that did the bombings is considered by the U.S. and other intelligence agencies to be under the umbrella of "the network.' So yes, i think that Al Quieda is in control here, and that they are trying to do the same thing to the UK as they did to spain.
