FYI - the IDF never attacks civilian targets, only miliatary and terrorist ones. The Palestinians, on the other hand, are known (and this has been reportd in international news) to put their children on the front lines and to teach them to use uzis and the like. And as we saw on the news, they were actually partying and chanting 'God is great' when they found out about America. Kahane was right

we held a prayer service for Mr. Oganaski (i can't spell his name) today at school. his two daughters go to high school with me so it hit BG pretty hard. our school prayed for all of the people that were lost in the cowardly acts of hatred.

We do need to stop Pointing Fingers at certain nationalities, I work with many Arab people and they are good people. Blame the terrorist groups not an entire race of people. That will just lead to more innocent people getting hurt or killed

yeah russia is definately on our side as of rght now at least. The reason people feel hatred for so many arab countries is becasue many of thier governemtns allow atrocities to happen with out assisting in any way in the investigation. When the USS cole was attacked in Yemen and the investigators arrvied tehy were trying to make it hard for them. they held all of their equipment to 'search' it before they allowed it in the country and then werent sharing much information with the US investigators. I understand that many of their gov. are unstable but that is one of the reasons some people dont liek Arab countries. Also remember that during WW1 german people were hated. They stoped teaching german to anyone they couldnt play or listne to any songs performed or somposed by a german. they renamed saurerkraut, that is how far people wil go.

newschooler thats hypocritical, but its not ur fault. Our government and media has kept us in the dark on the facts of just how much we fund Israel in fighting other nations and how many operations we actually employ in the middle-east which end in civillian death. But like in the arab countries we only know what our media tells us so we automatically assume that all these attacks are totally unwarranted, now im not saying that these actions were horrible and evil but I feel that it is so critical that americans realize that a number of people more than equal to that of these recent tradgedies ave died in mid-eastern countries due to american funding and even direct action from america.

The Chinese aren't the monsters everyone makes them out to be, I don't find it a suprise that they are just as outraged as everyone else. They just operate under a theological and political sytem that's different and hard for us to understand.

anybody in their right mind will side with the US right now because they know that we are ready to do whatever it takes to get revenge for what happened. i mean only dumb ass governments are going to come out and say that this is what we deserved and they will openly harbor terrorists. i mean if some country does come out and say that they aided whoever did this, that country is going to be turned into a nice big flat spot of land in about a day.

hmm this is weird, i searchbarred terrorist attacks since we were talking about 9/11 today in history class just to see different takes on it and what NS had to say about this almost 10 years ago, and page 2 came all the way back up to yesterday. This thread is like a small little part of history itself
 
not every terrorist is a muslim, not every muslim is a terrorist. Some people, especially Americans tend to forget names like timothy mcveigh, who was a christian fundamentalist who blew up the oklahoma city building. Painting a people with a broad brush is what causes hate and leads to genocide. The attacks on 9/11 were carried out by fundamentalist, not every day followers of islam. These radicals attacked the US in retribution for actions of the US in the middle east and around the world. Sure most of the people who died in the attacks had nothing to do with this but the United States has done its fair share of evil. The point of this rant is not to say one side is right or wrong, but bfore you say no arabs should get into the US, read a history book and see why someone might hate the US./rant

I didn't deny that Christians and the US haven't done anything horrible in history.

But some people act like that Muslims are completely innocent too and we shouldn't get mad when the fundamentalists do something retarded.

The biggest issue I have is (and this comes from personal experience and my dad's experience [he worked in Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world]) and that is that a LOT of them immigrate and expect the country they immigrate to to cater to their culture and change for them. The Chinese move in, they make Chinatown but at the same time don't force their culture on people.
 
i agree the Muslims have done fucked up shit, and the Jihadists are a threat to the united states. I'm sorry to all the good Muslims that practice the religion safely and don't push their beliefs on others. HOWEVER. i don't think people should think we are anti-Muslim ignorant people if we are a bit concerned with the pattern of violence that occurs everyday towards american troops. Call me crazy, but i dont want people here who's crazy followers decide its right to destroy nonbelievers in the name of the holy one. if there is a holy one. im sure he'll spit on your grave and send you to Muslim hell
