I didn't word that right, out of the presidents I've been alive for, see previous list, George dubyah is in my opinion the worst, followed by his father.

I think Reagan and Clinton did an excellent job leading the country.

At the end of the cold war, George HW Bush somehow overcame the bitterness between the soviets and americans to forge solid diplomatic relations between the two countries.

He garnered the trust of Mikhail Gorbachev and ensured that another enemy did not arise from the crumbling of the USSR. He also ensured, through his personal relationship with the Soviet leader, that Russia would not get involved in the Gulf War.

Unlike his son, George HW Bush followed the orders of the UN to a T. Even abandoning Kurdish rebels in order to follow the decrees of the United Nations. This showed a respect for the UN that few american presidents have displayed.

Unfortunately, the economy weakened as the elections approached. He went from the highest approval ratings in the history of Gallup polling to losing the election to Bill Clinton.

He said himself that he tried to preseve the honor of the presidency and I say he succeeded.

If Gore had won the election, our county would be in so much shit.

Bush might not be the greatest president, i'll give you that. But his cabinet is staaacked with people who know exactly what theyr doing. and even though they've gotten a bad rap from it all, people like micheal moore are making them look like political dumbasses because some one other person fucked up

i think some type of war is inevitable. Some action had to be taken after 9/11. and no matter which way you look at it, it was gonna make the person in charge look like shit. attack and look unhumanitarian, or do nothing and look like a slacker. But at least by putting people at alert, it can get us prepared if soemthhing were to happen

Now, keep in mind I am not just trying to sit here and bash on the president because he's Republican, I believe in voting for the best man/woman for the job. But I'm sorry that I do not feel that a recovered (is there such a thing) alcoholic, who also had to go to rehab for cocaine abuse (sorry I don't trust people that have done cocaine more than a handfull of times), and who's only political experience was being governor of Texas (which has killed the highest number of falsly accused murders in the country, they are reviewing many of the convistions because they found out they killed the wrong man a few times).

b-wald, everyone is saying this is political, so there is a bandwagon, and i told J.D to shutup because he jumps on people all the time, also , one big criticism of bush was that he didnt do enough about 9\11, now hes taking extra measures. even the democrats are taking this seriously

the big reason GHB wasn't re elected was his whole 'read my lips no new taxes' and then he was forced to raise them witht eh way the economy was. he was a good president, and he just got screwed over.
