Terrible article on Jossi Wells

"But the biggest disappointment so far was when Jossi Wells, one of just a couple of competitors with an outside shot of a medal, waved the white flag in his second run in the final of the slopestyle skiing. Wells qualified 10th for the 12-man final and, after an early slip-up in his first run, needed to produce something special on his second to get into medal contention. Instead, Wells caught a ski on the early rail section and opted to coast for the rest of the course, declining to exhibit any of the spectacular jumps he produced in qualifying. It was a massive let-down for Kiwi supporters back home, who hadn't stayed up late to watch Wells coast backwards down a hill because whether he finishes 11th or seventh makes no difference to him."

did the writer not understand it took perfection to medal? obviously jossi knew his bobble ended it for him and opted just to put on a show.

I don't think they understand that skiing for most if not all competitors are just having fun. I'm sure if all of us fucked up on a run which left us with no shot at a medal or any reward we would probably have fun with what's left and that's all that jossi did. And for all of us that ski it was fun to watch jossi zero spin all three jumps.

I also think we should get the author of that article to do a zero spin on an 80+ft jump so he knows how fucking hard it is.

I dont know why they think New Zealand got a bad rep, it doesnt matter everyone knows New Zealand is like the coolest place ever. Also Jossi pretty much one the Olympics he qualified in both slopestyle and halfpipe and actually seemed to enjoy himself while he was at it.

I think the only two guys that enjoyed themselves as much were Henrik and Hatveit, both have great attitudes
