Terrible Accident

Yesterday morning, I got a call saying that two girls at my school were killed in a car accident. One of my best friends went to prom with one of the girls, and I knew the other one. Apparently, the girls were driving up to boston to visit a college, when the girl driving had a brain anneurism. That caused her to immediately swerve off the road and hit two trees, and the girl in the passenger seat wasn't wearing a seatbelt. She was killed instantly, and the girl driving later died in the hospital. For those of you that don't know, a brain anneurism is when a blood vessel in your head explodes, you are in an immense state of pain for a few seconds, and then you go unconscious. Also, they were traveling at a high speed so there was no way they could've regained control. I hate to play the 'mom' in this situation, but I really don't see why anyone wouldn't wear their seatbelt. I just felt like sharing that, thanks for your thoughts.

its so sad when a person so young passes away.

i am also with you on the idea to buckle up and be safe, don't drive stupid and becareful. i only had a good friend of mine wreck a month agao and break both of his legs, thank god he didn't die. i am very sorry for your losses and i hope every1 learns soemthing from this and never forgets these girls

thats no good. it sucks when these things happen, because we all know that they dont have to. In this case it was just horrible timeing, if they hadnt been in a car, or if the other girl had been driving, it would have neverhappened. but i guess thats life for you eh? unfair and unforgiving. i'm very sorry for your loss.

I dont wear a seatbelt becuz i dont plan to die. I know that may sound stupid to some of you but if it is meant to be then let it happen. I dont fear death anymore and i want plan for it either. I am not sayin that you shouldnt wear it I just think its stupid for it to be a law. If you want to use it AWESOME. If not that is your choice. It sucks that people are killed in car wrecks but it may inevitable.

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

but im sorry man, that sucks alot. a kid from my sisters grade came back from a party and died on the way home, he hit a broken down bus, and he was probably drunk and passed out to.

 
Typical response was expected^. IS it your decision if i dont want to wear a seat belt? There are numerous accidents where seatbelts have actually killed people? There are numerous accidents where people wearing their seatbelts where killed. Im not knocking people who wear them they do save lives i just coose not to

^ Speaking of seatbelts killing instead of saving... My neighbor and really cool friend is literally a brickwall, cannot be busted. He was passing a car and hit another car head on going 70mph, he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Of course the other guy died and my friend got fairly messed up. But it turns out in this case if he was wearing a seatbelt he could have easily died. When he hit he slammed forward into the airbag, the skin on his legs got peeled back from the dashboard. Other than that he just broke some bones in his legs and wrists.

Ive had people close to me die in car accidents too. It is the worst, going to a funeral for somone young,it is the most unnatural and awfull thing. I know how you feel, you ask your self if you are living life to the fullest, and question lots of things.

Some times it take death to know life.

to the guy that dose'nt wear his seatbelt, so what you dont care, your family might. Also

it should be a law because it effects insurance rates I don't want to pay your hospital bills because your a 'badass'. .

a kid i was with in after school care at my elementary and middle school got hit by a drunk driver over the summer, the fireman said he was overcome with emotion when he opened the car to get his body out, and instead of beer cans or dime bags all around the car, he had his school bible right next to him... it sucked

i know this kid and his mom was takin him to school. he was sitting in the front passenger seat. he took off his seat belt to tie his shoe when his mom was crossing a highway intersection. a car t-boned them and the firemen and ambulance people found him in the very back of the car on the opposite side. he was in the icu for about three days then the family decided to let him go. a seat belt would have saved him and he took it off just for that split second.

i actually just got in an accident last night..me and my bud hit a cement pillar going about 30..no belts,and we got thrashed around pretty good..always gonna wear it,thank god for those airbags.

im so sorry. that is absolutely tragic for the friends and family. what a fluke that a young girl had a blood vessel pop in her brain.

But, my good friend was in a serious accident and his life was saved by him wearing a seatbelt. Thank God he wasnt too cool for that seat belt

ya you must go to hall highschool in West hartford CT then, i heard about those girls getting killed, it sucks, Glastonbury lost 3 guys in a crash about 2 years ago

I've lost a good friend in a car accident too. It was horrible. Also my co-worker lost a close friend after loosing control on the road driving drunk. It didn't really affect me until I just saw the road he careend off of... no guardrails, a steep steep corkscrew like turn and a cliff into 3 massive trees.

2 kids at the local highschool were swervin around cars in their Subaru outback and tried to get around one car when a Denali came head on SMACK they were instantly killed and the Denali had a few things to be buffed out.. i'd be so mad at the fags who made me buff my car

my friends dad who is a pilot and has his own private plane, was flying from wisconsin to minnesota with his wife yesterday. They crashed somewhere in the woods. I feel so bad for the kids though because they lost both their mom and dad in the same day.

 
Glastonbury, thanks for all your support. The donations you are making to Jennys scholarship, and the posters you gave to the swim team were more than wonderful. Its been a real tough loss, but its nice to know that we have everybodys support. Wakes and funerals are starting to take place, and its nice that everybody can get their closure, even as tough as they are now. In a moment, everything can change.

got back from the funeral today, that was even harder to bear than the wake. After i got back, someone told me that some kids at school said the only reason why i went to the wake was to get out of school. what stupid assholes, they dont know a fucking thing

ya it sucks losing a friend. There was a crash that took a girl from our town last year. her and a friend and two guys were heading from one party to another and they were speeding and passed on a hill and hit another car. The girl that died was thrown from the car and hit a hydro pole and killed, the other girl was thrown from the car too, and the driver was on the hood of the car. the other guy escaped unhurt. The only people that had a seatbelt on was the guy that was unhurt. the girl that surived was lucky she WASNT wearing a seatbelt because she would have been killed because her seat, there was nothing left to it. In the end a seat belt saved a life, and not wearing one saved a life also. Coming from a small town of 6000 everyone was touched with this accident. The driver also was drunk and supposly on cocain. So please DO Not let this happen to anyone else. Be a DD for the night, and have someone DD for you next time, and buckel up.

Dude when something like this happens, everything just shuts down, its so terrible, we lost a girl last year in a car accident, and other schools in the area lost some kids in accidents. RIP, my prayers go out to you, your friends, and most importantly their families. So Horrible!...im sorry man.

I wont ever tell you that your not good enough or that its not wokring out, it wont ever tell you that you were better off being a friend, it wont ever just leave you in the dark, and it wont ever do anything that you dont like.
 
smokinskier, seatbelts arn't only to save the life of the person in that car, but other motorists as well. Think for a second if you got hit real quick and you didn't have your seatbelt on, you get knocked out of your seat, and you lose control and your car careens into a bus full on new born babies.. yea your seat belt had nothing to do with your own personal saftey.

 
the passenger was wearing a seatbelt- she was killed by the impact of the belt across her chest, and the fact that the car crushed around her.

crazychica i might be getting what you're saying wrong, but you sound like the biggest idiot in the world... seatbelts are completely made to save your life... maybe you don't understand the whole impact of a crash thing but you just don't get knocked off your seat when you get in a crash without a seatbelt... and the whole you get killed from a seatbelt thing, are you suggesting it is safer to not wear a seatbelt?
