Terrible accident video

Why would they just stand there and wait for it to get worse.

at the beginning almost no water. They stop and it's starting to get worse, fast, they stay there, it keeps getting worse.

Pretty obvious that it wasn't going to get better.

So I google translated some of the facebook comments, and it said that the language was Filipino. Then with some more googling I found this. Apparently it had nothing to do with any Filipinos, but the video and article makes it out to be some Indians. According to the article, two were rescued, one was confirmed dead, and two were missing.

An East Indian guy I worked with showed me this a few months a go.

It took place in India at a popular picnic spot. There was a flash flood caused by heavy rains upstream that swept the family away. There were no survivors.
 
if you try to help them by jumping in the water, all you will do is die with them. only thing that would have been helpful is trying to find a rope or something to throw at them so they can hold up to it.
 
I saw it on worldstarhiphop a couple months ago..the title was "Horrible Video of Family Dying" so idk if thats true but its likely..horrible stuff
 
This is absolutely aweful.... Deffinatley know to not play around potential waterfalls now. Never underestimate mother nature. She's a powerful lady.
 
the morale of this story is the danger's of flash flooding and how rapidly river waters can rise - either from heavy rainfall or even man made events such as dam release.

Don't fuck with rivers like that....

Those folks seemed not to be outdoorsy types - although they did do the right thing by coming together in a group..... but there is a point very early on after the water's started to rise and they didn't get out of there, that the inevitable end was inevitable... but they put themselves in a very very dangerous position in the first place. bit of a waste
 
Damn that sucked. I don't know why I watch these things.

Just to show you hove desensitized people are these days. If you were there you would never forget that moment your whole life. On the internet you just go "click" and your staring at some skis.
 
Excatly trying to rescue them would have just lost another life for no reason. Jumping in to save them would have been the worst possible choice in that instance.

Not really. It went from a trickle to a raging river real fast, obviously it was going to get worse.

Flash floods are no joke. Should have made any desperate attempt to get to the bank.
