the funny thing is was that it was her parents making a big media martyr out of terry. also just imagine if the courts signed over custody to the parents. imagine what other right to live issues would go through. Roe v Wade would be a thing of the past. if they gave custody to her parents hat is like saying that the government owns your body and they get to decide what to do with it.

 
starving her was bullshit, i think its good she died, i would want to die if i was in that situation but i would much rather have got a lethal injection, i think she still was responsive, but she was not improving, starving her was torture, i think they should have done a lethal injection, phycisian (SP) assisted suicide is only legal here in Oregon i think.

She should have died when her accident happend instead of being made to live in a vegetable state for so long. She didnt feel anything when she died I dont think people understand this. Her brain lacked the power to "feel" the responces that her parents saw were little more that basic human instincts reacting to stimuli. She was dead the day her brain died not when her body stopped.

amd for all you people saying the husband should be starved, how do you justify that. he was only doing what his wife wanted him to do. she told him she never wanted to be kept alive by artificial means so he was fighting for her to not struggle through life anymore. she's in a better place, but i think that they should have given her a painless injection rather than let her starve to death. even if she can't feel it, that's a terrible way to die.

All those protesters against the husband obviously didn't like terri. Her husband was only doing what she wanted. I think the whole situation was pretty crappy. I don't know anyone that would want to lay dead on a hospital bed for 15 years. They should have given her a lethal injection or something many years ago.

i personally dont know who was right here, either the husband or the parents. i want to lean towards the husbands side, i know i dont want to be in a pvs for my life, but he parents should have a say in if she lives or not. But i think her husband wanted her to be out of pain and miseries, but he would also be collecting alot of money as her life insurance, etc, would be collecet. So i dont think there was no right or wrong, if you see on tv they are asking people to make a living will, so it doesnt happen to all of these people.

Spyder- the money he would be gaining from insurance would not come close to the amount he has spen on legal fees and hospice care (he is responsible to pay a co pay) also he was offered 10 million by private funders to sign the rights over to the parents so he was obviously doing what she wanted. so all in all he is making no money and getting slandered by fundamentalists to help a women that he loved and probably still loves get what she wanted

true she is a person and when a person dies it is a horrible thing. however, the husband does have priority over the family in this case. People have to relize that people die in these types of cases all fo the time and there is nothing extrodinary about this case other than huge amounts of media coverage but lets face it aren't there more important things for ppl to focuse on rather than the death of a one person
