Terrain Parks near Bellingham?

I just moved to Bellingham to attend WWU. Most people seem to go to Baker and I've been unable to find any resorts around that have terrain parks. Does anyone set up local/backyard parks in the area? Really grasping at straws but I can't imagine winter without park skiing.

Pretty wild to think that a pretty ski-centric area such as Bellingham is so dry for park. Guess with the quality of backcountry zones up there it would make sense. Being from the Midwest I would like my park fix also though so I understand

Closest parks are at ground and Cyprus in Vancouver. Some people have backyard set ups or just haul a rail up to baker

Thank you. Any input as to which has the best setups?

Crystal is 2:15 from Bellingham according to google maps...Grouse and Cypress are technically closer but you may find substantial delays crossing the border at times. I've never crossed via car but I've heard it can get really backed up, check with someone familiar with making the border crossing by car.

Would not go to crystal for the park though, never have seen many features there besides a few small jumps and boxes. although I think I heard they might be upping their parks this year?

I know nothing about it aside what's mentioned on their site. Looks like they're planning to have a beginner park and a medium/large feature park.

I just looked around a bit out of curiosity. Grouse is supposed to have really good parks and is pretty close on paper but I think getting back in to the states can be a bitch.

When I lived in Bellingham there was urban set ups all over the place when the snow started falling in town. I think once you get some Baker pow in your face you will stop caring about park.

Like others have said you won't have much of a convenient park option. Baker and its sidecountry does have plenty of pow and natural hits though.
