Terrain Park in Toronto

Right now Uplands ski centre has decided to build a terrain park, or rather fill one of their hills with park features. It won't be that great, probalby a small jump and some jibs, but since its basically in Toronto, its a good place to ride at night.

oh man thatd be so sick if i could get some riding in after school. where exactly is uplands?

Yeah uplands is in thornhill, its near younge and highway seven, you can get directions at uplandsgolfandski.com

Yeah keepin in mind on the size of the hill does anyone have any ideas of what to put in the park

finally!! woo, I'll probably be there instructing on weekends and skiing some weeknights.

I guess they could put some rails on hill 4 and some kickers/tables at the the base of 2/3/4 or something.

A few seasons ago they had a run to the left of hill 1 behind the trees (not just the little trail thing, or the old tbar trail), they put some fencing at the bottom of it last year, maybe they'll build the park there since it wouldn't interfere with the rest of the skiing.

 
stuff in zee park... little kickers (I still can't do 360s.. arigghh!! say, did you ski on Agyls 2 seasons ago?). I don't think there is enough inrun anywhere for a table bigger then 15 feet. Hips, I love hips, and they are probably the safest.

Quarter pipes are too high maintaince without a pipe dragon, and the little kids will just get stuck at the base of them anyway unless you build it on flat ground.

 
mailbox rails, funbox (just get a table from the lodge and cover it with slippy stuff, cheap). Keep the metal rails low, or some out of control kid will ski into them, crack their skull open and the park will get closed.

uplands is entirely a beginner hill/hill for people to lazy to drive north. building fancy rails would be a waste of money if about 3 people can hit them.

 
yeah the current plan is to make hill 4 a park hill. But what were puttining in it i don't know yet, i'll keep you posted when we decide more concretely
