Tequila doesn't make your clothes fall off

I fucking hate it when I'm at a bar and my clothes start doing tequila shots with hot bitches while I'm trying to enjoy a beer in the corner. Next thing I know I'm running to the bathroom naked. Clothes don't understand bros before hos

Well, depends on if it's chunky or creamy. The chunky makes me lose my shit while the creamy is a more creamy vibe. The jelly changes everything too.

Yes. Anecdotal evidence is valid as long as you don't try to pretend it holds true for entire populations. If a girl says tequila makes her "go crazy" and she's dancing topless on a table after 4 shots, who really cares if it was actually the tequila or her just using tequila as an excuse to do something stupid? She's still doing what she says tequila makes her do. Just accept it for what it is, man...

Hey guys, when I drink a whole bottle of any given liquor I become a sociopathic asshole with a tendency for violence and total disregard for public safety. Is this normal?

These dumbasses would rather get butthurt over nothing than appreciate the simple things in life....

such as topless tequila drinking sluts dancing on tables for example.

I drank a flask sized bottle of gin (I call them the hobo size, no idea what it's actually called) during Turbo at if3 and then some more later that night. I wasn't able to smell gin without feeling queasy for a couple years after that. I still avoid it but if push comes to shove I can keep it down now.

Tequila is a stimulant, unlike all other alcohol. (or at least most others) so no it doesn't make clothes fall off but it does make a lot of weird shit happen... clothes coming off quite possibly one of the results

Howso? I've always wondered this since after all the active ingredient is just alcohol. What makes "whiskey drunk" different from "troned?"

But when a big chunk of the population leans on the same anecdotal evidence it just becomes a widespread misconception.I don't particularly care that people act differently when drinking tequila rather than other liquors, I care that they insist that there's a chemical basis for it.

To be honest it has very little to do with tequila and a lot to do with people just being flat out ignorant to facts. Take a look at this thread, so many people are saying that different alcohols affect you differently but no one has validated that with any evidence. I made this thread as a joke but all the replies are just flat out dumb.

This is what happens when I take the internet seriously, I cant handle this shit.

Different Drunks

You ever hear people say that “Gin makes me angry” or “Rum makes me really mellow”? We all have. But is there any truth behind it? The experts I spoke to say no. “It’s the amount you drink. Period,” Bill Owens proclaimed. There are zero controlled studies published that test this, so from a pure science standpoint it is impossible to prove or debunk this. But I have some evidence of my own.

Sense memory is an incredibly powerful psychological phenomena, and it’s been well-proven that our senses of smell and taste are the most potent for evoking memories. I would therefore bet that the reason that whiskey makes me feel calm and relaxed is because I associate it with fishing with my dad.

Gin doesn’t make me angry, it makes me want to party. This is probably because I first started drinking gin and tonics at dance parties at uni, or maybe because because the notes of citrus remind me of playing soccer as a kid. In contrast, Southern Comfort makes me feel despondent, slow and gross, probably because I had one of the worst nights of my life when I was 18 and I drank half a fifth of it.

There’s another possible culprit: congeners. Congeners are a by-product of the fermentation and distillation process. These may include acetone, aldehydes, other forms of alcohol and esters. They are, generally speaking, not good for you. But they are an essential part of the distillation process, because all spirits contain a small cut of these ingredients. The distillation run’s beginning and ending phases, known as the heads and tails, blend with the heart of the distillate to give the spirit its characteristic flavour. But different processes and ingredients result in different congeners. Different toxins affect people in different ways and a distillate from, say, agave, affects physiology in a distinct way compared to fermented corn. We all have a unique response to different types of chemical stimulus.

Copy and pasted from gizmodo or some site. Basically says something but nothing really. In my opinion from my experience there is no difference......and who the hell drinks gin straight??

This really isn't a point to be reasoned. You need to just experience it firsthand through experience with tequila vs. other alcohols. Definitely something about tequila in many of my experiences makes clothes fall off

OP may just be mad girls clothes don't fall off for him?

That's just retarded logic. If something happens in your body, there's a reason it happened. It's cause and effect. I've had tequila on multiple occasions, it got me drunk. No different than if I drank the same amount of vodka though.

Just give up, man. You're wasting so much time and effort on something so fucking stupid and it's just making you look like an idiot. Move on.

Good response.

Also, funny story. I have. Never again.

I was in that cheap fifth stage as a junior in high school as ar6 mentioned earlier. For me it was the "my parents alcohol stage" and I had a full water bottle of gin. I planned on drinking not much more than half over the night. About halfway through I got that stupid mentality of "fuck you full water bottle of gin, I can finish you!" I finished it all over the time span of about a half hour. Ended up being one of the worst nights of my life. Don't drink stupidly youngsters. Mix your liquor and set a #drinks/time limit and you can't go wrong.

All I know is tequila makes me want to break stuff, might be 100% placebo or my surroundings but it definitely does

Damn I miss that coat from when I got it 6 years ago and got rid of it 4 years ago. Unfortunately for your case I'm now a college senior and bartend part time.

The point I'm after with the liquor proof is that if you are actually trying to drink on any sort of budget, higher proof is one of your friends. I never discovered the magic of Sailor Jerry's rum until I saw it was not only cheaper, but higher proof than Captian (and tastes a lot better IMO). Just more bang for your buck.

Ok, I didn't really read all of the thread, 'cause it doesn't really matter. I'm just wondering how many teenagers are in this thread arguing about alcohol like they have a lot of experience in such things.

Tequila is a hell of a drug. I feel more high than drunk when I'm drinking tequila on it's own. Tell me that tequila and draft beer give someone the same kind of 'drunk', I dare you.

And on that note: Gin - liquid panty remover! Feed them girls gin, now that will make their clothes fall off. Or, at least lubricate them so they can be removed with more ease.

It's not as simple as that though. If I drink 10oz of tequila I'm going to feel energetic and loose, while still being drunk. If I drink the same amount of draft beer (not 10oz, but the equivalence of alcohol - which would be a much larger volume of beer) I will feel more sleepy and slower.

Obviously if you drink X amount of alcohol (not matter what kind) you're going to be just as drunk as any other kind of alcohol, but the amount of liquid involved, sugars, ect will tweak that drunk feeling this way or that. scientifically, you'll be the same level of intoxicated, but how your brain and body react to that may be different.

Of course, this is assuming that the tequila in question is straight and not mixed, because adding mix almost always brings the sugar level up even more, which will change how you experience things. If I drink 10oz of straight rum I won't feel the same as if I were to mix it with cola which adds way more sugar and caffeine to the equation. If it were as simple as just talking about alcohol itself, than yes - all booze would be the same, but they aren't created equal.

me too...i think there's something in tequila. it makes me want to fight everyone. same with whiskey. but not vodka, ouzo, jagr, rumple, etc. i could drink a liter of vodka and be happy go luck, but a pocket rocket of tequila and watch the fuck out. send me home before i do something i'm going to regret.
