I swear to god if I hear one more person say "Tequila makes my clothes fall off" I'm going to smash a bottle of Cuervo over their head, cut the webs of their fingers with the broken glass, and then put lime juice and salt into the cuts.

Drinking tequila is no different than drinking vodka, they both get you drunk. The active ingredient never changes. The only thing that might cause you to behave differently is the environment in which you consume it and the predisposition you have about how it will make you feel. /Rant

Okay, so you show the tequila gettin poured onto her. What's to say that shortly after taking this photo, that all of her clothing dissolved and fell off? Pics or it didn't happen.

Wait, even if Tequila doesn't affect you any differently than other alcohol, this misconception is fantastic.

I agree, but I don't think there's a chemical basis for it. Like I said the environment that people typically drink particular types of alcohol in and the predisposition they have for how it will make them feel can easily influence how you behave when drunk.
 
Tequila is not as depressive as other alcohols. It is, in some ways, a stimulant, because of the blue agave.

i'm sorry but I just don't understand this shit. At this point in my life I drink for the sake of getting drunk practically every time I drink, that's just the social climate of college. I see no reason to drink any liquor other than the cheapest vodka they sell at the nearest liquor store.

Cheep vodka is alright every once in a while but Jesus have some fucking variety. Windsor isn't that expensive, or Jim Beam, or Ron Diaz. The only people I respect that put down vodka on a regular basis also have vaginas. And saying that all alcohols should effect you the same is bullshit.
 
I create variety by mixing with different things, playing different games, things of that sort. Cheap beer or 40s are a solid alternative too. Drinking isn't about the drink for me, it's about getting drunk with friends.

You mentioned cuervo which means you have no idea what makes a good tequila.

That being said, different booze is made from different ingredients, do you think tequila is just flavored vodka?
 
Darker alcohols produce a different hangover, but from what i've experienced, they all give you the same amount of drunkenness per shot of 40% alcohol drank.
 
You mentioned me not knowing what makes a good tequila which means you have no idea how llitle I care about what makes a good tequila.

And obviously I know that different liquors are considerably different in terms of ingredients, distillation, etc., but that doesn't change the fact that alcohol is the active ingredient in all cases. Based on your argument, we should assume that pepsi and sprite will cause you to feel differently.
 
The only time I ever get hangovers is from vodka. I can black out and wake up feeling like nothing happened. Take one shot of vodka and my head fucking kills the whole next day.

has anyone ever heard of proof? as in proof of alcohol? whatever they say the proof is, you divide it in half and that tells you what % it is.

and it's fucking agave that makes good tequila. or any tequila worth drinking.
 
Beer does this to me, because I end up drinking too much and not drinking enough water the night of because my stomach is full of beer. Beer always leads to the worst of my hangovers.
 
What exactly is your point? He referenced the alcohol concentration in terms of % rather than proof, is that an issue for some reason?
 
that not all booze is created the fucking same and if you don't pay attention to that kind of shit than you're an amateur.

and that hangover everyone bitches about is usually set on by the over abundance of sugar in your system over anything.
 
I'm still not seeing your point. So, saying a shot of alcohol that is 40% (any normal tequila, rum, vodka, gin, etc.) is somehow being an amateur?

Hes right. And I drink vodka probably more than any other hard liquor. I like all alcholoic drinks even though I don't drink alot anymore. Most of the cheap stuffs OK, cheap tequila is fine. Cristian Brothers brandy is good especially if you are outside and aren't swlling your brandy and drinking it properly. Cheap rums always fine, most cheap whiskey is OK I can drink early times borbon or Canada club on ice. The stuff that costs a lot of money is better but its not a neccessity one can leave the liquor store with a drinkable fifth for 11 or 12 bucks if not 9.

Prefer marijuanas most of the time to booze too not much of an alcy. There are people who like to only drink vodka based drinks as their alcoholic beverage and yes they are almost always female.

Dudes who are alcoholics and only drink beer are total bitches. Sign of being an awful alcy get on the hard stuff lol!
 
Tequila definitely had a different effect on me than other liquors...my bf can attest. He'll jump at any opportunity to feed me a good margarita.
 
Here is my ghetto science opinion:

Tequila has sugar in it. Vodka does not. Sugar helps keep you from being passing out. Therefore you are awake to party longer and get horny from being drunk unlike vodka or beer where you'd rather just go to bed. Thats why wine gets girls slutty too.
 
Wrong OP. Tequila has completely different effects on women than vodka does. You clearly aren't the guy that shows up with tequila at parties. You should start being that guy...

Pretty much anything people mix vodka with has a hefty amount of sugar in it, so shouldn't tequila effect you the same way that vodka and a sugary drink does?

Not a single person has provided a decent bit of reasoning to refute my point but most you are still claiming that I'm wrong.
 
No, it is definitely not. You may think it is because you are ignorant based on the fact that you have never tried any other tequila. You can get fantastic tequila for a couple more bucks than Jose for a fifth.

And yes OP, different alcohols effect people differently. Tequila is definitely in a league of its own as far as being a different drunk.

but for real, different alcohols absolutely have different effects. and isnt tequila unique in some way? it's not as depressant as others or something?
