my fuckin match lasted 3 and a half hours today. 4 dueces going back and forth. I was about to forfeit. I was so tired and I just wanted to go home. Plus this guy sucked big dick, I was half asleep so I couldn't even see the ball. Then my coach wanted me to play doubles ( which i hate more then life itself) and I said no and left. Anybody else play tennis and had there game last long?
 
yah i play but ive never really had a match go on for that long

but i do sometimes go and play with frineds for like four hours
 
the worst match i ever played lasted about 4 hours in the finals of a tournament thrid set tiebreak and i finally won at like 26 to 28 it was insane i thought i was gunna fucking kill the kid if ripped me off one more time but hey i won and there was like 100 ppl just watching me and him and like half of them were his family and my parents werent even there lol
 
i had a match of wii tennis against my friend that lasted an hour, it was so intense and i couldn't lift my arm for like an hour
 
When I used to take lessons I had a really terrible one where I think we went to 5-6 deuces before I finally squeezed out a win. Very tiring and incredibly frustrating but the coach wouldn't let us stop until someone won.

my friend plays first singles for our HS team whos nasty, their state champs every year, he rocked his kid today 6-0 6-0 the match lasted a little over an hour it was kinda funny to watch
 
Thats rough, i feel your pain. I play for my school. Singles (i also cant stand doubles, just the fact of my partner fucking up just pisses me up), i went undefeated in my region all season and lost at districts! i was beyond pissed! whatever its good, i am only a junior this year so i got another year to make it happen.
 
and thats a little weird that your coach wants your playing singles and doubles, your team must lack some serious skill or something cause arnt you supposed to have set singles and set doubles players, both types of tennis are completley different
 
i was in a challenge match today to see who would play where tomorrow, we had a game that went to 12 deuces and we never got to finish the first set after over an hour of play.. it was 6-5 when the coach was like, "just stop, seriously."

my team is stacked like no other... definitely state champs this year we called it when we beat the 7 year champs last year in the region championships, but lost to them in states
 
3 hours aint too bad. pretty tiring. some friends and i in highschool would put money on our games, and consequently many got really long. and doubles blows ass. i cant stand playing doubles, save a couple of rare occasions.
 
Yeah, my school sucks, and CO is really bad for HS tennis because Creek is crazy good, out of like the past 37 years they have only lost state like 3 or 4 times, they have been undefeated regular season for almost all of those years too.
 
i play, but never had one of dem super long matches. more cool people should start playing tennis, its really fun once u get good. unfortunately most players are rich little fagboys from the country club
 
Last month we have a collage open and I played two matches like that in a row... 4 and some hours of tennis straight, then I still had two more that day. Needless to say I could barely put pants on to get to class for the next week I was so sore.
 
Yeah ... I won a semifinal match in tie break that lasted a long time final: 9-8 (11-9)

i came back and won the finals easily though
 
this summer in eastern washington i played a tourament and it was 112 degrees in the court. my match went three sets and i lost 15-17 in a tiebreak. worst feelin ever. 
 
hahaha actually ya i have cept we have a rule where you can only have six deuces but i mananged to have every game go into a six deuce decision and the set was won 8-6

so that sukd

but i dont even like tennis, i want to have like a skatebord team or somethin like that at my school but w/e tennis is a fall back plan
 
i'm with you octocrab. too bad this season I've been injured so i haven;t played consistently. Long matches suck, al you can do is fuckin play it out to see who can last the longest. That is how you will be victorious.
 
i hate it when my coach makes me play way shitty ppl cuz those matches suck

i get so bored when the person never makes a first serve
 
i finished a match in 24 minutes once. It was against a perdominatly ethnic school btw. I do hate long matches, Doubles is better for it though since ya don't run side to side. It's kinda nice in michigan too cause in michigan you can only play doubles or singles. So ya don't end up playing singles and then having to play another match of dubs,
