is it just me, or are the salomon teneightys getting uglier every year. they sould go back to the older grphic styles.

 
i tihnk the graphics suck, it seems like other companies are putting more creative graphics on there twin tips, salomon is gettin pretty old, the design for the pro models sound cool lookin though

Salomons have a pretty sweet grapic i think....Next year and all of the pro will have them this year...Candide has a graffi ski and c.r has a camo ski. those graphic will be ILL!

when salomon designed the graphics, there wasnt many companies puttin out cool graphics on their skis, like line was the only one back then, there wasnt armada 4frnt the scratches wearnt out yet

I think some companies graphics are ugly. 1080s (the current ones), and my volkl expressions. I like the PEs a lot, and I like the v-pros

the new ones aren't bad bud line and K2 they have sick graphics, solomen should take there example.

Armadas suck too...K2s are at least original. Snowboard graphics are way better but they have a lot more area to work with.

you must not like a lot of graphics ....... line mo-ships (train), mike nick (tortured willow), skogen (bombs) how do they relate to skiing? how does the chick or falcon-thing on the scratches? Hey how about the eagle on Armada skis - how do they relate to skiing?

The robot is a sick design just like the ones mention above. It prollyhas more to do with skiing than those above to. The 1080s are constructed using spaceframe technology, thus the robot is an apt association to the 'for front' of skiing technology. It contributes to the space age feel/look of the 1080s

I dont buy skiis cause of looks schlonginator sponsored by salomon and a shop last season. this year riding for volkl.

I dont pick the graphics but I pick the ski I ride on. I picked skiis for my asbility and how I liked them.. I dont buy skiis for looks. if I did I would buy PEs or 4frnts. I think most ski designs are piss ugly.

....and you think Line and there wood core shit is better? I think Line will develop into a good company and all but now all they have is 2 ski designs with different graphics. LOL

They are all the same BASIC design. Wood core, and a few changed dimensions that have none or very little effect on how the ski rides. The only exeption are the mother ships. It doesnt take much designing to just change a few dimensions either. Personally I think its all bull and they have no idea what they are doing right now. They released the new bindings too early too. My local ski shops used to carry Line but now they stopped because there skis are crap. He even advised me NOT to get them because they cannot be used outside of the park or pipe with much sucess and most of the people that bought them from him didnt like them much. And whoever said that the graphics have to do with skiing has no clue. One example are the Line 1260s, what do ninjas have to do with skiing? Graphics really dont matter much in the first place either. Salomon, they are making their skis lighter and more durable every year. They are the ones that went off the old traditional wood core way that Line and many other of the companys do it. The wood cores snap easier and will rot away if any moisure hits them. So how do you criticize Salomon for trying something new and experimenting. I think it was a success. Thats how REAL twintips are made. Not by copying other companys basic design.

 
Line skis are sick even out of the park the guy at the shop must not know how to ski or is smoking to much crack.

Uhh no, I wouldnt be talking anyway. You dont even have any twintips. I used want Line 1260s but now I know what a joke they are. They are not so sick out of the park.

 
Also, the guy at the shop was the owner. He skis a lot and is an instructor for the race team. He sells a lot of skis and skis a lot of skis so I think he would know. He has had experience on Line skis too.

If you like the ski but hate the graphics....just paint your own some people have done some sick designs on skis they like...i think some guy even had a forum on it if you search for it.

In terms of painting your own design on them, some of us dont have that option (contracts with sponsors) I wanna redisgn the expression graphic for a mid season release but we'll see how it goes.

I think it was a success. Thats how REAL twintips are made. Not by copying other companys basic design. ALL COMPANIES HAVE UNIQUE DESIGNS. WHY THEIR CAPS MY HAVE THE SAME GENERIC TYPE OF LOOK THATS NOT COPYING. THEY HAVE DIFFERENT BASES AND CORES, AND EDGES.

I hope in the future you will think more carfeully about what u post. Many of the things you said were incorrect or simply based on opinion. please do some research before you comment in the future.

I raced 7 years Jr Olympics and still race now. I have skied lots and lots of skis and the Line skis are great outside the park. I dont even ski the park that much so I know how good line skis are out of the park. Have you rode the Maverick that will ski anything how about the Mothership that will ski anything it is also sick. Last year i used the Mavericks for awhile but i could hold a edge a 40mph dont be telling me line skis suck.
