Teneighty Flyer- good bad?

I'm looking for some skis. I need a ski that will handle well on the mountain but one that is also good for a very new terrian park skier (which is why I want twin-tips).

A local ski shop has the teneighty flyers for $300. Are these good skis? If not what would you recomend that's in the same price range. I don't want to spend much more than $300 because I will outgrow these in a season or two.

the foil does seem to be more of what I need, but in my quick search I couldn't find it for much less than $500. I don't want to spend that much on a ski i'll be using 1 or 2 seasons.

Any other suggestions

if i were you, i would wait a little bit until more people knew more about the flyers and they were actually well known like last years 1080s. I would buy a nice last years model of salomon skis.

i got a chance to demo the foils, personally i loved them...id say go for them, itll be worth the extra cash

"i see you have gotten the most recent pic of atlantaski and i must say he is looking pretty dark for a wigger"- Lats reply to a picture of a piece of shit in a toilet

ACLs suck

^ its not necessarily a shitty ski.... just not directed for exactly what we do. i think its more of a gaper ski.......... not core park ski. still a decent ski though.

why salomons? why not some k2s or something a bit cheaper? you can get the fujatives for 300 or so.

a bad day'll make you really notice ones this good and that'll make things a little better understood - blackalicious

Replying to most everything...

-I'd rather not spend much more than $300 on the skis (to get the foils...) because by the time i add bindings and maybe new boots, that's a lot to spend on ski's that may be to small next season.

-I don't have to worry about the flyer being a shitty ski when doing a 720 because I can't do one. I'm a good skier but i suck in the park. I'll be luck if I can do a 360 by the end of this season.

-I was just looking at the Salomon because it was in a local shop. I'm happy to look at something different like k2 PE or something else

I'm really just looking for a ski that'll handle well on the mountain but is ok for a new park skier.

Hehe, he is saying the Flyer is the new version of the 720, which was a ski Salomon made (like the 1080). Flyer = new 720, Thruster = new 1080. The flyer is a crappy intermediate ski, will break easily. Get the 04/05 K2 Public Enemy, you can find it under 300 online easily.

Get the thruster. Dont sacrifice money for bad equipment.

I would def. recomend the PE, I have em and Im also pretty much a begginer, and they are awesome. The fujatives are fine too if you get a better deal on em.

Well I found them on Getboards for $280, so unless someone here is selling them or you know anyother place I'll probably get them there.

yeah i got 04/05 PE's love the ski and i just picked up this years Fujas so i cant wait to see how they will ride....so yeah those 2 skis are your best bet

due, you need to do a little more research. the reply that said "flyer=720=shitty ski" doesnt mean that you shouldnt do 720s on the flyer (thast woul read "flyer + 720= double eject, or somthing to that notion). what that person is trying to say is that the flyer is like last years salomon 720, which in his opinoin is a shitty ski.
