What are your thoughts on these boots? They only have a flex index of 85. I do alot of park, but are they gunna suck out on the other stuff? I have been skiin forever, and I am pretty aggressive.
 
Great in the park. End of story. It was my least favorite Salomon boot I have ever skied. I'm sure I will get shit on for my opinion about the well loved 1080 but I hated it anywhere but the park. The liner is shitty and the power strap is so skinny it does nothing. I love the x-wave 10's but they are a tad too stiff for park. Now I use the pro-model and its a great all-round do everything boot.

If you ski fast and charge hard don't get the 1080.

Although if you are a lightweight it would probably hold up.
 
Yeah the other boots i was looking at was x wave 9 or 10. I am like 5'10 180ish, will they be too stiff in park?
 
I thought the 05 was stiffer than '06 foil, which everyone seems to love.

Agreed the power strap is thin, but are they really that bad?

How much difference does the thickness of the power strap make anyway? Can't you just crank em in when your bombin the steeps?
 
x wave is a nice boot

i have the pro model salomon boot, and i like for the most part how the fit, but i just straight up hate breaking in boots. very painful
