Am I a dumbass for wanting these

I want to buy some skis, I need longer skis because I just grew like 5 inches and I was already on short ass skis.

I want the flex of these skis but don't care if they only last one season. I'd prolly use these for like 50% park the rest just Midwest laps.

Yes they are fucked on top but I'm already used to it and might put some ptex on otherwise imma mount some attacks I have

There capris 178 and I've ridden 172 in park sometimes

This is what I'm coming from now

$ 200 shipped and from what I see they been recently basegrinded

It's cuz I just bought another car and now I'm poor but making money slowly because I have after school sports

before anyone goes on to roast me i just realized i wrote a whole fucking essay shit sorry ill stop talking

As long as its mostly just topsheet chipping you should be good to use it as a park ski. I agree tho w toast, you should lowball the seller first, see if you can go 150 or 175

i think thats a sweet deal.

we dont know your height. if your like 5'9" i dont think 172 is a "short ass" ski if its full cambered.

on the other hand, if youre like 5'9" i think 178 is pretty short for a full rocker ski.

and remember, not all skis measure true tip to tail. 178 from one brand to another can vary widely. some (most) guys use the flat measurement as the stated length. others (like on3p) use the curved length.

i would go look at the skis and see how much "effective edge" there really is on them and the condition of the edges and bases. if they were tuned often, there could be very little edge left and cause them to tear our for like no reason.

need more info dog!

what are the bases like? those topsheets aren't a functional issue but it makes you ask what the rest of the ski looks like. why do we (and you?) only get to see 1/6 of the skis?

without more info i say ehh. lowball him. i'd never sell skis that looked like that for $200, there are just too many better deals out there for that to make sense to me. but if you can get them for 150 or under and only want a season on em in the midwest and the bases are all right then sure

If I'm right they were just basegrinded they look too good on the bottom and glossy sorry I didn't add a picture

okay yeah if the bases are in good condition and you want them i say push for 150. and put some epoxy on those topsheet boo boos

Yeah I'm 5 10" and they prolly feel a little shorter than 178 cuz the camber so it should only feel like a 20cm jump from my old 149 skis with like no camber

For that price I think it’s ok height.

rockered skis feel shorter (less effective edge) than non rockered skis.

and topsheet chipping is cool imo.

I hate when I see people with expensive set ups that look brand new even though the skis are a couple of years old. It means they don’t actually use them.

most important is that the bases and edges are intact and have a solid amount left of them. Apart from obvious like core damage or delam.

People are downvoting but its right. I'm assuming this is a black crows captis, which is a rocker and camber mix so you will want to size up a small bit if you are coming from full camber. A quick peek at a blister review indicates black crows measures pre-bent, or the true size is actually a little shorter than 178, this is what most companies do. Sizing is really a preference thing but it looks like a good ballpark to me.

if you dont buy the skis, can you send a link?

ill buy them. always wanted to try black crows.

Ok imma prolly buy them tomorrow night if I get a good paycheck but I will let u know there are a bunch of pairs but the others are all like 450 which is only 200 off retail and they are demos from last year so they not really worth it

Otherwise I'll send link
