Im 5'-9"(1.75m) tall and weight 170 pounds. I just bought the K2 public enemy 06 164cm with the salomon s914 fis binding. Im an intermediate-advanced skier who like to go in the park(40%) and in all mountain(60%). I choose my ski 10cm shorter for the maniability. I think i did a good choice. Please give me your comments!

thanks alot,

definitly 174 ,or maybe even up a size. If you are outta the ark a lot the bigger size will give you some extra stability.

Think before you buy! but if you grow any more (dont know how old you are) you will defenitly need a new ski. the smaller ski will spin a little faster and give you an easyer ride it wont go as fast or be as stable as a larger ski.

You're the one who has to like it, manuverability is a good choice. You don't want to be fighting your skis all day.

Way too small go bigger, u know what they say, the size of your skis has a direct correlation with the size of your penis

sorry to say but thats really quite small. im 5'9 175 and i ride 179 pistols. and i wish i had 189s too. maybe you like really short skis though, i dont know. i would have gone bigger.

I dont understand how can you tell that you feel the ski is too short! Why the people who are riding skiboards/snowblades dont talk about the lenght of their skis??? They never said they are too short and if we look at the "chart" those skis are made for 3 years old children's!! I think the lenght of the skis depend how you like them!!

i would bet 90% of the time when someone asks if they got the right size ski they got one 10-15 cm too short

and ya 174 or if your good 179

well, it depends on what you like to do more to say if you have picked the right size. if you like to do quick short radius turn on the groom, yes it shouldn't be a problem. if you charge a lot and be skiing big lines, you should have gotten the longer version. but since you want a maneuverable ski, it a good choice over other skis since PE are stiff.

what ski did you have before?? if you had a directional ski, then you automatically lost about 10cm because of the twin tip.

still a tiny ass ski

but i saw some k2 rep guy pushing some kid that was about 5'10" to get a 159 fujative, it was lame, and its no surprise why a lot of people get tiny ass skis (not saying that this is the same case though)

Yeah... bit small. But hey, if that's what you like, whatever. Your preference.

whatever floats your boat, personally i would've gone longer since you lose like 10cm due to the twintip, but hey if you like em, go right ahead and use em

Your right again. The question I have is why are you asking this question after you bought the skis? Ask the questions before and then stop second guessing your decisons, have some balls.

Advice well wasted however:

According to ur bio it sounds like u picked the right ski. PE's are known for their all-mountain domination and they preform just as well in the ice parks.

However as we have all stated, which pro-shop guy propted u to buy such a short ski? i know park rats luv short skis for nose grabs but a person of ur size and weight needs at least a 170. keep in mind the twinage which also decreases length. to sum up fine for the "park" not long enough for pow pow.

but we can't say we told u so....

if you like the 164 at +2, then why does it matter if we think that is the right choice for you or not?

It's to late now anyways, i would have suggested 174 +5.

But Who cares! you like your skis, this thread is useless! Go Skiing!

the skis will perform just fine, it just happens to be the trend now to have long skis, don't worry about it. as long as you like them.

164 and you weigh 170? yikes..... you're going to have zero edging on that thing and it's going to feel like a wet noodle under your feet.

wtf? since when was the "trend" having long skis? you ski whatever works, which just so happens to be close to height-matched or longer for most people.

Yeah I know i should ask before but some magazine and people suggested me to take 10cm less. So thats why a bought those skis. I know i will ride those fucker with no problem but maybe it will be not long enough for the pow pow!

if you are gonna be riding pow, then that short of a ski for a guy your size, is going to feel quite small and underpowered.

You'r right! I will go to the shop to see if I can change it for the 174cm. With this size it will be better in all mountain.

thanks for your comments guys!!!
