Tell me about your small home mountain

i want a list of small east coast mountains to visit this winter. i don't care if all they have is a tow and a single trail, though i would prefer at least 1 trail that is kinda gnarly.... rocks or tree shots or something... maybe a shed to jump over. whatever, let me know.

Oshawa Ski Club (otherwise known as Kirby to all who go often). Pretty much is a pimple on the earths ass in terms of height but Jess (previous park manager/designer) turned the park into something decent.

Toggenburg in central new york, not much gnarly terrain, but look for the park to be ill this winter. let me know if you're comin', I'll hook you up with the goods, peace...

i'll check em out.

anything maine, new hampshire, vermont?

i went to black mtn in rumsford, maine a few yrs back, they had a t-bar to the top of the more "advanced stuff". a big group of us had a blast there. they had this one line where they were going to put in a new lift, so much fun. straight narrow line through prickers and over rocks.

for sure, if anyone want's to meet up to give my buddies and i a tour, we're down (and we'd appreciate it). right after we went to black mtn, we hit up big rock in mars hill, maine and some local kid showed us these rock slides and tight tree shots off of the top of the mtn. it was amazing to find that stuff at a relatively small hill in nowheresville. makes for good stories.

one time i saw a ski area in Vermont Called "Suicide Six" you need to go there just to say u skied at a place called "Suicide Six" it looked semi fun.

windham is worth a look. some nice glades and some cliffs if you go exploring between trails. hit either myself or clapp1115 up if your in the area

thanks everyone. keep it going.

i think suicide six is owned by the Woodstock Inn. i don't know if you need to stay there to shred there or what. there's another place like that next to killington, "bear creek", but you can buy tix ahead of time (super expensive but thursday/fridays include a supposed "fancy" lunch)

anyone ever been to that place you can see off of interstate 89 near st. albans vermont? it's at the end of some community development. 1 chair 2 trails.

skyloft is tiny hill in southern ontario, with 1 chairlift. The street i live on proberly has more vertical then it, it is that small, they have 2 jumps and a collection of small rails and boxes

jack frost/big boulder or bear creek

ps. blue, jfbb, camelback, and bc are all in PA.. it sounds like you're thinkin more of the new england area

I've never been, but I live in Ottawa and should check it out.

check out Camp FOrtune, in Chelsea Quebec. pretty sweet

2 doubles and a triple. like 15 trails and one shitty park they put in last year that consists of a 5 ft jump and like 4 pieces of scrap metal stuck in the snow.

oak mt. in NY 30 minutes from Gore, its got 1 chair, 2 T bars, 14 runs i think, one decetly steep bumb run no park, but there is a massive boulder that could be shaped into a perfect natural 30ft table just have to move some rocks out of the knuckle of the landing which i plan on fixing columbus day weekend so all i have to do in the winter is shape it and salt it.

Chicopee in Kitchener...Southern Ontario. Its a small like 11-14 trail hill..with a terrain park with two jumps, and a bunch of rails. its fun for night riding..i like it

Wintergreen Resort in Central Virginia... gets maybe 15 inches a year, but they have an incredible snow making system, so the snow is usually pretty good, and the park is decent.

the ultimate small mountain is holiday mtn in new york. used to have like 16 trails but now they open only 6. there is one double and one triple lift. we got a little decent park with a few jumps. not too bad stoned or on a rare powder day stoned

that's the name of an endurance mtn bike race, too

as for crappy hills, greek peak is baaad for terrain, but not too bad park-wise

cranmore mt in NH, its not that well known, but it has a decent park, and its owned by the guys who own waterville and loon, so its not that bad.

we ONLY have like 15 lifts and over 150 runs.........tons of fresh pow all the time....sick park...

it sucks here

mt ashland, the gnarlest little mountain in oregon. there are two hella old lifts accessing some of the best skiing ever. steep shots with refreshingly dry snow compared to the rest of oregon.
