Its time for a montana terrain park preview:  What went down last year at lost trail, g divide, snobowl, turner, big mountain, ect????

any info is helpful.

missoula mountain lab has: 14 ft box, down rail/urban shotgun style 10 ft, flat down box 8ft to 12 ft, small A frame 8 ft, and a 14 ft juice box(3 feet wide)

Last season Showdown had:

Rails:

20 ft? Flatbox

Medium sized rainbow box

down flat down, not sure the dimensions but it was nuttable

battleship

butter box

4 or 5 flat square rails of varying height and length

Jumps:

Medium table

Small table

Super fun hip jump

Sick-gnar big air jump that was only open for two days

Last year's big air jump:

The hip:

(you can see the rainbow in the background)

Flat box:

Down flat down

Down flat down 2 years ago set up as flat down flat

Medium Table:

Big air shot from 2 years ago:

Big Mtn: The main line last year had the following setup

40 ft.ish stepdown
big hip, 75 ft to gap
probably 30 ft or so flat down flat
option of decent rainbow shotgun or bazooka 30ft handrail
most of the season there was a flat down box setup, each box about 30ft
variations all year with the c box and s rail to finish it up

the small line:
optional ten ft table or short flatbar
probably about 20ft table
about a 30ft table when it was its largest
about 15 or 20 ft flat shotgun
small rainbow box
then it flowed into the rainbow rail/handrail option

Basically, the hip was the main feature this year, it was a nice addition I thought. The park in general is expanding every year, but it should change more during the season. The park crew does an ok job setting up features and tables. The only other parks i've skiied are Whistler/Blackcomb and Fernie. Of course, it was far below Whistler/Blackcomb, but it is comparable to Fernie (probably no longer because of RCR). Overall, it is a fun park to mess around in, but it's not a park where i would hang out all day.

The hip:

Here is also an edit from last year, there is a run through the majority of the park at the end of the video.

Hope this helps

Missoula Mtn lab is a new private small park at the highest point in missoula, over looking the valley. If ur ever in missoula i can hook up an invite possibly, its just a chill little place, lite at night, and at my buddy's house they rent for school.

Thanks for info, my 2007-08 park review will be poppin up somewhere, prob not Parade magazine again, but somewhere.

Showdowns fu*king gay, they need to grow some balls and put up a real park, it would be kinda nice to see an least a 20ftr. DAMN NEWBS!

well its for fun cuz thats y i ski and yeah its for real, everything is of good quality l ill post pictures by tuesday or so when all the grooming is done from the new storm

showdown is super duper chill..........they had a nice step up last year, well table stepup thingggy..

oh ya and 2 seasons ago in the summer of 06 beartooth had some sick stuff...

1 30-40ft about stepdown

1 20-25ft about stepdown >shared landing really sick

1 dragon rail (i think thats what they are called)

2 boxes

1 flatdown rail setup (2 rails together)

1 flat rail...

and the sickest summer steeps you can hit

not enough snow which was a real bummer because there was a bout 10 kids from great falls that were planning on camping out for like a week. i emailed them this summer and they are still planning on reopening next summer snow permitting

losttrail didnt have good jumps till they moved there park to a way better location last year. but i was up there sat and they already had some new features up that are sick. theres gonna be four flat boxes 10,15,15 20, 20 ft rainbow box. rain bow rail. whail tale. 30 ft rail. some smaller flat rails flat downs and other stuff. I havent seen the c box in a long time but im pretty sure its been complety redone. And starting in march they build a 50 footer right infront of the lodge.

Moonlight has more than a few options, almost one jump, and a really little back to back park area on Pony that is almost funny.

thats what i have heard. i was just down there last weekend and they were blowing snow and pushing snow all weekend they have some nice piles up. from the very top of the park it looks like there is going to be a nice jump line. i couldnt really tell how big anything was because they just had 2 huge rollers built but they could build some pretty nice booters on them

Big Sky is working on a 3 jump line, got some huge piles going. Heard from a park crew member that they got a cat driver from Snowpark.

Nope starting with 2 jumps. The 1st jump would be a really small set up jump for the next two. We would rather use the snow to build the next two bigger and safer. We have been really busy in the cat this week. Look for the ambush park to open with a couple jumps and a rail line later in the week if everything works out. Don't forget about RUST this Saturday night to.

big mountain got brighton's park groomer so i think we can look forward to some better jumps. i forget his name but he seemed like a chill guy that was open to suggestions. i also hear that they're gonna turn an old lift tower into a jib.

Ambush is opening tomorrow. Rail line has 37ft round bar to 35ft rainbow into 30ft down rail. Two jumps on the right, 20ft to about 35 ft with long landings . Speed check and take it easy, were starting the year off small and are only going to get bigger. RUST is being pushed as I type. Look for a really fun tech setup with some gaps to objects. Saturday night. Be there!!!!
