Thanks!

Andy, The first and only thing you told me for the reason you started TAFT was the exact opposite, to focus on rallying a bunch of skiers to just go out and have fun sessioning and not giving a shit about competing. If you have to have a comp, just add it as an additional day. Also if I bring a wad of cash and tell you I won it am I in the finals?

My thoughts exactly.

Why give these kids cash anyways? Wouldn't $3k go a lot longer if spent on prizes and food and shit? Hell 13-year-olds would probably get more stoked on gear than cash anyways.

The comps are actually both on an additional day of the tour stops, check out the schedule for Killington and Chestnut. Also, pretty sure the plan is to sign or somehow mark the bills to prevent cheating.

I lied.

My goal is bigger. You can help or get out of the way.

....and 23 year olds...

Thanks.

This is something that can appeal to the older skiers. People who are at a higher skill level and want to push themselves under pressure.

It's literally the comp that I would have loved to do when I was younger.

inb4 this is an Olympic qualifier.

honestly love little fun comps. When I was young I would go to random things like this to make a little money to put right back to my skiing or at least pay the gas to get there. It would bring me to areas I'd never skied (sunapee, Mass resorts, ect) and I'd end up meeting other skiers and making more friend thus helping build the lifestyle that I have now.

go get em Andy, thanks for adding something worthwhile to skiing.

aye nice job always throwing the good old sundeezy in there boys, bummed i just left for germany 5 days ago, you guys will have a blast, sundown park crew kills it every year!

Why no Hyland?

I'll b in co anyways but also confused on buck and welch, one the epicenter or minnesota snowboarding as well as the same crowd that goes to welch on weekends, and the other the epicenter of midwest jerrys going on mini vacations to the 300' vert resort

Killington was so fun today glad I went.

For yall saying it should be at dofferent hills consider that Andy probably approached everyone in the area and worked with scheduling and what the mtn offered for the even to decide where to go. If you think your mtn should be on the tour then talk to event staff and marketing at your hill and tell em how hyped you are on what Andy is doing and that you want TAFT for next year.

Very true. There are literally hundreds of ski areas on the east coast and mid west and while we haven't spoken to every single one of them, we've definitely talked to a lot of them. These are the mountains whose management shared our vision and were willing to contribute to the tour. If you feel like your resort should have a stop next year then go talk to your park staff/events managers/etc to let them know. Often times the people in decision making roles are out of touch with what the younger generation wants, but if enough of you speak up then they'll figure it out.

Ok, I'll help you tell skiers if they are doing good tricks or not at the Bolton event and take their money if they suck (while staying out of everyone's way)

This is exactly why we were stoked to be involved in this thing. Skiing lacks a super fun grassroots comp scene. I'm the first one to be hating on comps when they're extremely strict - but I too did a ton of local ones when I was younger and it was awesome.

Andy has it with this one. Its just the beginning and I think what will come out of its growth will be unreal.
