Telemarking

never tried it... seems kinda akward to me. I dont really see the fun it turning like that, but thats just me i guess.
 
the turn feels cool because you're supposed to have about equal weight on each ski, so you really feel each carve in both skis instead of having pretty much all your weight on your downhill ski
 
true. but what i like about skiing is being able to have a veriety of turns, you can turn sharp or u can make long smooth turns... telemarking u really cant do that can u?
 
I have tried it several times and i wasent that impressed. Its fun to mess around for a little while but i couldent see myself ever doing it seriously.

but your right tele's can be dam fun
 
switched to tele this year. got scratch BC's mounted with G3 targas. its a lot of fun, and you can def do a variety of turns, snapping them around for short turns, or just let em run and haul ass in long turns, but that kills you legs.

and teleing in powder is actually a ton harder than alpine, but the feeling when you get it is literally like floating, its sick
 
i have tried it and its fun but i would never switch over to it you don't have as much power or control
 
teles are sick and i think people that are really good at it are insane, its so much harder on the legs and jus harder in general. ive only done it once on my dada old teles but it was still fun. im gonna put some tele bindings on my old skis
 
Telemarking = shitloads of fun, give it a shot if you ever get the chance. It's way harder than skiing, but feels so cool.
