does anyone on here rides telemark? i tried it last weekend and it totally blew my mind. i am gonna switch to telemark for riding groomers and powder. maybe in the park i am going to stay a skier, but this whole telemark shvt is just awesome.

There was also a telecross on my mountain, where alot of americans came over for. So i guess telemarkings is bigger over there than in europe.

Yeah man,tryed it, awsome, you have to be FIT to do this shit. I saw this one guy, at a local with Old armada AR5 doing the crazyest shit telemark style.

I tried it for a few days a few weeks ago and its cool. So much fun on groomers and shit. I tried a few straight airs over a 20ft kicker and ate shit. Great fun.

this last weekend i saw a guy mobbin 4frnt teles...most insane thing...he went off a 20ft table and did a tele grab..kidna goofy looking..but yeah you do need to be fit to do it because it like doing lunges down a mtn

 
ya i met this kid last weekend at killi who skis on telemarks. he was hitting rails and jumps and shit. and attempted to ski switch. it was pretty sick if u ask me. i was more than impressed .

 
tele's where its at for sure its crazy fun and when you stick something big on teles it feels like a much bigger accomplishment.

yeah i have so much respect for teleskiers. that kid twintipteles is my friend and he can stick 7 now. not to mention cab 5's 3's and half cabs as well as regular 5's 3's and 1's and can switch up on rails and 270 on and off. it is so much harder than alpine skis it is so sick

 
dude, its not that hard to ride switch on tele's. lean more back than you do usually, but its not that hard. everyone should pick it up. chicks dig it too.

 
ya but if you actually do tele turns when your goin switch. its soo fuckin hard

idk, i kinda actually find switch tele turns easier than doing switch alpine turns once you get used to it, but for tele-skiers you should be able to make switch turns both ways cuz you can't carve into a switch takeoff in a tele turn, and for little adjustments in the park you don't want to take the time to drop a knee

ehhh, i still think its really fucking easy to link switch tele turns on almost anything, i could carve mellow blacks fairly easily after one day on twins
