You two assume too much. Not everyone is out to get sponsored. I did try a little bit a few seasons ago and Rossi was interested and had heard of me through the rep at Schwietzer. Unfortunately they wanted footage and I didn't have any. They only sponsor a couple people right now as it is so my chances were slim. I emailed them and told them to have the rep come ski with me for a day but they weren't willing to do it. So it didn't happen. Ohh well no skin off my back. I live in Northern Idaho fo God sake it's not like Tahoe, SLC, or Colorado where there are lots of companies out there looking to sponsor people.

Trust me there are other teleskiers who can land switch in powder. It's just like with alpine skiing. Once you feel really comfortable landing on groomed snow you can probably figure it out in powder. I just made a booter with a pretty flat landing and figured it out. Don't be so jealous you two. One day you'll get it. And hopefully at the end of this season I'll have some good footage to show you kiddos and maybe a sponsorship along with it.

Jesus landing swirch in powder isn't that hard and it doesn't guaruntee you anything. I learned last season by myself I didn't film it and I take any pictures becaus it's not that big of a deal. I'm not saying the booter was huge but it was sure bigger than 15 feet. And I live in Idaho we don't nee to built shit in the backyard, there are mountains everywhere. It was in the BC at Schwietzer. Where I'm stll the best big mountain rider.

Telemark is like our national sport here in Norway.. It is freekin' hard to jib with, but a hell lot of fun when you just ride in the sloped.. I tried to land fakie on one of those, and I barely saved my teeth from getting eaten by the bat fronttips... (I fell forward, since it is no binding in the back)

It's really not much claiming this. It's not like Squaw or Alta where there are tons of good riders. The skiers at our hill blow outside the park. I don't know why we have good terrain and great snow but what can you do.

oh, i didnt know you were such a dick. I wont hold back then - telemarking does look ugly. Its hideous. Telemarking in the park is like taking a carving snowboard in the park - it invovles middle aged guys with fullfaces with the visor taken off, no style, and lots of backflips. Any pros in the sport are guys who realized they couldnt make it in the ski industry so they went to telemarking to gain some sucsess. I know its hard, and i give props to telemarkers who do thier shit and are chill about it - but comming out and claiming how awesome you are is terrible.

Its kind of like going on snowboard.com 3 years ago and claiming skiing is the shit. It wasnt, in fact, skiing was pretty lame back then compared to all things snowboarding. Right now we are getting close - but its still not time yet. Its DEFINITLEY not time to start claiming telemarking is hot shit.

God dammit where to all you fuck ups ski. Wool hats and bea stereotypes went out the window like 10 years ago. Ever since plastic boots and fat skis tons of new people have stared telemarking and none of them are old hippies. My dad has been teleing for 25 years and he has never had a beard and hasn't worn a wool hat in like 15 years. He wears baggy pants and ride big fat twins. And he's not some douchey CGD. So even the super old school guys aren't falling into your stereotypes anymore.

Aceofgays all the pro teleskiers I've met have been at it for at least 5 or 6 years. They didn't convert because they couldn't make it on Alpine stuff. That is the most arrogant and asshole thing to say and you just made a total douche out of yourself by saying it. Max Mancini is better that 99% of the people on this site especially you fuck up. When was the last time you did a 450 on to a rail or did a cork 9 over a 70 footer. Oh what, that's what I thought never. Those guys would destroy you in an aspect of skiing.

Maybe you need to head over to Rossland and check out Red I'v heard there some just crazy good tele riders there. But yeah like if your in Nelson at Whitewater ther are lots of hippie folk all dressed to not impress.

At my hill teleing has gotten super popular over the last 5 years and now there is a really diverse fgroup who does it. 4 years a go I was lucky if I was another telemarker on the hill all day now you can't go a run without seeing one. It's a quickly changing sport and I think you will see a lot of new cool people get into it and shatter those old stereotypes.

Ace I'm guessing that you watched the Incognito trailer or maybe last years tough guy production's trailer and yeah I'd say the skiing in those blows. It looks sloppy and unstylish but I'm telling you those guys are capable of so much more. I've seen some of them ski and they blew me away. They were at Squaw which obviously has some damn good skiers and they were showing everyone up. I do think that it is hard for you guys to realize the level that telemarking is at because you probably aren't around it. And yeah the movies aren't very good. But there are definetly some great rides out there. Hopefully in the next few years somebody will put out a good movie.

Other guy. I really don't think I'm being that cocky but whtever that' your opinion. As far as saying the skiers at Schweitzer suck I stand by that statment. Just ask some of the other kiddos on here. There are quite a few and bet they'd tell you the same thing. I fact ask Destroy he knows what he's talking about because he is a good rider.

One of the guys, Max he's been in Obermeyer ads in Freeze, said he'd film we at Squaw when I did a 180 over one of the big tables. He said it's in there somewhere. But since pretty much no one buys those movies I doubt you'll ever see it. I know I'm not going to.

people with open minds rock. and actually its not harder that alpine to do most of the tricks on tele or slide rails. if your good your good and you can do it. And no i wouldn't say that max or Pete GAllup or Lorenso or Ben Dolence are better than most alpine skiers cuz there not. They are very good at what they do, they never try to say they are better than anyone else and that is why i like to ski with those guys when i do. but seriously, these are the top of our sport and if they are better than alpiners why aren't they competing with tanner, candide or any one else.

^Max is way better than just about anyone on this site. I can't believe you would even say that. There is a reason those guys are sponsored, because there fucking amazing skiers. K2 must think Ben's a pretty damn good skier since he's the only telemarker on their factory team which puts him at the same level of any of those guys. You obviously don't know what yur talking about and haven't seen these guys ski. And tricks are alot harder on tele stuff. It's way less stable because your entire foot can move around. And obviously harder for landing switch since most alpine skiers land over their toes when landing switch. Unfortunately telemarkers don't have that convenience.
