Telemark Gear

I've been free-heelin' for one season so far, on an ooooolld pair of head twin tips(170 length, bout 75 underfoot). I found myself gettin my ass kicked by powder and chop, so I'm lookin at gettin something a little bigger. I don't have a whole lot of interest in jibbin' but get a kick out of skiin switch. Lookin at hittin drops up to 10/15 ft. I'm 6' 165 lbs. anyone got any advice for a pair of skis maybe from 07/08? I don't want to spend a ton of money, but also don't want to spend another winter eating shit. Thanks

In skandinavian forums telemark is quite the thing - my wife rides free heel - well i have seen a lot nice woeds on Volkl bridge and armada ARV. you might finde a 07-08 or 08-09 of the bridge model on sale.

whats cheap? I heard 3 pins are wicked wicked cheap, but do I want those? Are they the same as other t-mark bindings?

I tele about half my time and my brother teles, so i'll give you a run down from my point of view
The ski isn't really that different because its tele, so get what ever you'd want to ski alpineBindings kind of depends, there are a couple cheaper ones around $150-175ish, and a couple around $300.The cheaper ones would be the Voile hardwire, and G3 TargaThe more expensive ones: Black Diamond 03, BD 02, 22 Designs Hammerhead, and Bishop bomberI've heard really good stuff about the Hammerheads, the stiffness of the spring is adjustable, which is nice, because as you get better you will want a stiffer spring. If you are going to be touring, check out the O3's, they have a touring mode
