Teeth problem

ok, so i smashed my face somehow doing a butter at mount snow sunday, check the video if you want. My lip got 9 stitches outside, 3 inside. And my tooth had to be shoved back in place, its now held onto my other front tooth with a cement "bridge".

I'm fine with riding like this, i dont really care cause i dont think i can screw up again too bad. i'm just gunna film this weekend, no features or anything.

My question is, should i wear a mouthguard for my top teeth for a while, my dentist said i need the bridge on for 6-8 weeks. I cant really remember any time i've slammed my teeth together from falling or anything, but i guess theres alkways a possibility. My only other concern is hitting my knee to my teeth. So should i wear a mouthguard at all, for a few weeks, till my bridge is off (6-8weeks) or what?

Do it, if one tooth falls back out of place, it can relapse the rest. And that'll cost a little more to fix than a little cementing job.

Yeah go for the mouthguard. Nobody can really tell and if anyone gives you shit they probably are posers that never go big enough to realize that you can get pretty fucked up anyway. I wore a mouthguard for a while when I freeride mountain bike cause I ate shit on a jumo once and shattered most of my front teeth.

you'l look kinda gay wearin a mouthguard just gaypering down the park, but when they get close enough to notice they'l see the scar from ur lip to ur nose lol...

ill grab you one at work

if i were i think i would wear one just to be safe for now because now that you have a bridge if you mess up again and hit your teeth then you will have an even bigger problem. just keep it in your pocket for when you hit stuff and then keep it out when your filming and not hitting anything. you would really regret not wearing one if somthing happens since they are real cheap and not that big of a deal

wear a mouthgard, who cares what youll look like. your lucky kid, i hit my face oin the ground and my tooth died, i had to get a root canal. it hurt mad bad and was 1000 bucks, a mouthgard is better than going through that shit

Definatly get a mouth guard. If you upgrade to the $20 one it can be heated and molded to your teeth, very comfortable. Just keep it in your pocket and put it in when you need it. Your teeth are gonna be with you your whole life don't screw them up.

ya but then they give you bleach for your teeth and they get white soooo........ya i guess i would rather have my regular teeth, go with the guard

I would reccomened getting a custom one from teh dentist. Theyre really inconspicuous and like 50 bucks. I had one for moguls. But mouthgards are normally just for concusions. You can still fuck up your teeth, i guess theres just less blood.

bring one in your jacket and if you feel like doing something big put it on.

better to be carefull then sorry

I like to ride my motorcycle fast and with reckless abandon. I even crashed it once. My question is, should I wear a helmet now?

I took a digger from my pole to my face riding switch and the pole punched me sqaua in the face. It fractured a molar on the bottom left and it had to be pulled immediately so it wouldn't swell to softball size.

The x ray of my mouth shows the root clearly broken in half deep under my gum next to my jaw bone and it sucked. I still have no molar there as the implant is 2400, insurance only covers upto crowns/caps etc and won't touch it.

I had a mouthguard in my pocket because I saw seth put one in before a rodeo off a cliff in film and thought I would pick one up, never used it and don't think it would have helped either way in this freak situation.

I have punched myslef a couple of times trying to ride (switch) with my poles too close to the ground.

go for the mouthguard. i might start wearing one when i do big stuff this year, just cuz i have nice teeth that i dont want to fuck up, haha.

talk to compton. he will be at mt snow so you don't have to go looking for him. he has over come so much these past few years with his teeth getting hte way. he is the expert

how abuot insted of asking a bunch ok kids on ns you ask your dentist and we will prob say its a good ide. And who really cares if it doesnt look "cool" better safe then sorry

hmm, thats what i figured. its either wear one, have the annoyance of wearing it and help, lower the pain of smashing my teeth together. Or not wear one, not have the annoyance, and maybe end up hurting them more. i'll talk to doc on monday. i'm glad some people like you helped me out.

well both. the original reason was the teeth, but in the past years they've made em for concussions. i guess if you get hit hard enough it wont matter with a mouthguard, ur teeth will still atleast get loose, but itl always help concussions

this is what happened to me when I got my knee in my mouth... I have a fake tooth on a "bridge" now thats stuck to my other teeth. My dentist made me a mouth guard and i wear it all the time when skiing now, its clear and u can't even see it when you're riding.
