Teddybear crisis sucks

I really like the music. Im into the 80's new wave and electronica sound. I feel that ever since afterbang everybody including ski and snowboard filmakers are trying to copy the feel good 80's new wave vibe in their movies. I thought afterbang was revolutionary when it came out. It changed the way a lot of people thought about how movies should be made. While I like all that I think it is time for skiing to break away from the cliche and form its own identity. I don't like how everyone compares anything skiers do to snowboarders and their style. I think Josh B and Level 1 are doing a good job.
 
tbc was fuckin cool, and it had rock in it( the crash section) and your gay if you dont like this movie. so what if there was no rap it showed skiing can work w/ anykind of music.

the music is not europop dickhead. its amazing. and a lot of the bands are from new york. if you don't like it go and watch wski and pretend to be a gangsta.
 
psch.... there was a ski movie... the same year that afterbang came out... it had new wave music, and happy vibe. It was called Blunt, it even had the first ever full lenth Pep segment, set to a fucking gay 80's song by the Knack.

Its a shame the director/editor is such a worthless fag.

if you don't like the music, cool, that's your perogative. but to hate on the video itself? thats pretty closed minded. i personally hated the music in pop yer bonerz, but alot of the video was pretty cool. you can't discredit ostness and rostrup for making one of the most progressive videos to date.

Slow mo shots just tend to ruin the "action" side of skiing...for instance, some of the shots in hitlist almost made me fall asleep, slow-motion to emphasize things is ok in my opinion, but to actually edit a whole segment to slow-motion is a bad idea. It's like, halfway through the shot, you are waiting for the next shot, and then the next shot is still slowmo...etc., you get bored, the movie is not satisfying you as much as you would like it to...my eyes only want to see a shot for a certain amount of time. This was the only thing in TBC that could have been changed. But I liked the feel of the movie so much that the slowmo didn't bother me that much.
 
just peeped the purple vhs of this flick not too long ago. one of these days someone's gonna incorporate some dope d&b into their movies, and levin will be considered a "pioneer" for putting d&b into movies (even though they were just hiphop remixes). haha. but tanner and the mammothpunks tripping balls in the end credits was flippin hilarious.
 
What the HELL ski movie DOESNT have slow mo, time lapses.... just name it... if you can find a ski movie that doesnt have it... throw it in the trash... its shit!
 
That one dudes underflip to front flip over the half pipe was so dank. I didn't really like the music at first either but it really matches all of the segments and the skiers. Watch the movie again and think how ridiculous rap would have sounded in it and then go fuck your self.

the movie was good, but best of all time? seemed just like a normal ski movie to me, with an abundance of utah backcountry and no handrails.
 
dismissal? hardly. i said it was a good movie, i just don't see it as the GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME like so many people do. so suck my dick hennie!
 
Arguably the best soundtrack of any ski movie ever. All of you kids are tasteless idiots. As for best ski movie ever... well, no. To be honest I'm still waiting for a movie to come out that really deserves that title. I don't even know who's going in the right direction anymore.

i liked the music.. its soimething i can actually imagine skiing to, whereas when i listen to hip hop and am tryin g to ski.. i just think about rich little white boys who think they are ":gangstuhs" cause there mommy paid thousands and thousands of dollars for them to spend the summer at windells or in whistler bc to learn how to ski. not to mention they other thousand or so dollars their retarded collection of giant t shirts and hats with stickers cost. that shit is just as much as a faD as the snowboarxer idiots who do the same shit. so dissapointing. and how the fuck can you just flat out say a movie sucked? im in school for film making and i shoot 8mm and 16mm, none of you probably even have a clue how fucking hard it would be to be changing 16 and 35 mm reals in the fucking middle of alaska or someshit. not to mention all the edititing. what an ignorant thing to say.

p.s. the only part of TB crisis(haha!!) thAt i didnt like was that retarded segment where tanner hall talked about how he had a tragic three months of sitting. HE WAS SO FUCKING ANNOYING.. why does he have to talk like an idiot. skiing is sick.. but god i hate to listen to that kid.
 
I didn't really like it because it was like almomst all BC and in Wisconsin I can only relate to park jumps and rails, and urban.

I guess you like a ski movie pending the terrain you ski compared to what's in the movie...
