Tecnica Cochise 2015 110 oven mold

Greetings.

As the title says, I own the pair in the title. I did heat mold the liners which provided a much better fit, but my foot is still too wide when I step on it. The calf is also too big. The ankle is good. Finger banging is good also.

I have to choose between proper buckling and no blood in my feet or loose with some comfort. But loose calf means SO MUCH play...And I also weight 100+ kgs.

I did however try them for a day with regular socks and they were perfect, except the fact my feet froze in a couple of hours. The ski socks are 1-2 mm thicker and that's the issue. The guy who molded my liners said the shell can't be molded. But I stumbled upon this and I'm wondering if that could apply to me as well.

If that's the case, should I use some wooden chopper(the thing you slice onion and stuff on in the kitchen) to rest the ankle and toe part of the shell so it doesn't rest on the pot like the tutorial above? Also, if I use a garbage bag on my liners and put them inside the toasty shell, could the plastic melt on my liners?

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

If nothing works, I guess I'll wait until I go to Austria and try to punch them at a shop there.

Thank you for the help.

Regards.

You can in theory heat mold any shell. It's how the shape holds with Mitch will vary. By the sounds of it you have quite a few issues going on so I would not recommend trying anything yourself. Take the boots to a good fitter and see if these boots will work for you. If they won't you may be better selling them now before you do too much work to them.

First step I would try is going and buying some real ski socks, the thinnest ones whatever your local store has, no padding anywhere. They should be thinner than your regular socks which you said made the boots fit better, they may say racing or something but that doesn’t matter, thats just what most companies label they’re thinner socks.

Hey man, sorry for the late reply.

I went and bought 2 pairs of ultra thin socks. I compared them the ones that were good and they are the same width, or even smaller. They are knee long and even have some padding on the shin area. I hope they'll be alright.

Thank you very much for the idea, never thought of that.

I do have one more question, considering I'm a pretty heavy guy and have stopped gym training for a while now, my knees are pretty weak and after a few jumps and laps, they hurt. I was thinking of getting a knee support, like the ones you get when you sprain your ankle.

I did find some braces and stuff, but those are more for actual knee damage, I'm just fat. Can a regular one help me a bit?

Thank you for the reply, I will sell them if they still prove to be bad with thinner socks.
