Technica Agent vs. Full-Tilts

Ok so I might have the skinniest heel in the history of the world . Im looking for a boot for this year that can actually hold my heel down. Ive heard the agents have a real low volume heel. Same thing with the full tilts. I rode kryptons last season and the heel pocket is just not narrow enough for me. help a brother out. give me some suggestions on what i should try on. and please dont tell me to go get bootfit properly and shit casue i did that last year and still had issues. i live in central massachusetts. not really any legit bootfitters around here besides strands and they can blow me

in Skiing's gear guide the boot fitter's said that the Bumble Bee has a medium width heel pocket to fit a wide range of feet. i dont know how accurate that is, but its something to ponder

Get to a bootfitter. How the hell are we supposed to know how skinny your ankle really is. so it's not narrow enough for the krypton. 1 question did you actually try the krypton on before you bought it? And how do you know it was your ankle being to narrow that kept your foot down. So maybe you do have a tinny ankle, whats the rest of your foot like, or your calf? we have no real idea unless we are there, which we can not be. Maybe I do know a boot that might work out for you, maybe I don't. either way I am not going to tell you shit. Which coincidently is the quality of the information you will get here especialy in mid august. There is two reasons. the 1 main reason that is really fucking obvious is that most people on this website have no idea what they are talking about. They will tell you what is narrow for them or what works for them, Second really obvious reason is that even the few people that do know what they are talking about have probably touched the boots. Full tilt boots are rare, few shops carry them. On the other hand while almost every shop in the country worth it's salt carries tecnica the agent is a brand new boot, and odds are good that most shops have not yet received theirs yet. Also did you know that the agent series has 3 different lasts? 98mm, 100mm and 102mm or something like that. So go to a bootfitter and never make a thread like this again. Peace

A lot of boot companies make boots with different widths to them. Technica makes some real narrow boots. The only way to solve it if you can't find a boot is, unfortunately, to go to a boot fitter. Go to one up on the mountain that has a machine that heats up the boot. I know that they can easily strech the boot, but i don't know about shrinking it.

why would you go up to one at a ski hill, unless you are talking about a place like surefoot or whatever it is called in whistler, that would be a bad idea. And know you can not shrink a boot but their are things you can do. and why is it unfortunate that you need to go to a boot fitter?

Generally, the shops on the hill are better, because they have more stuff, and staff that actually ski alot. He said that a shop didn't help the first time, and it costs moneys.

thanks. your a real dickbag.

my heel is too narrow for the krypton and yea i went to a bootfitter at my hill and they sucked balls i spent over a grand on boots last season trying to get something to work. like i said i live in central massachusetts these no options for getting boots around here except ski market or where i ski pretty much.

what i am asking is if someone works somewhere or has skied either the agents or the full tilts. casue i would like some feedback on how narrow/wide the heel pocket is.

your a fuckin dickhead thanks for the helpful advice im not asking for you to choose a boot for me u retard im asking if anyone had any info i dont have on these two boots

I think most of us have skied enough to tell you what boots have a tight heel cup and which don't. Way to bring us down!!! Try the new solly boots this year, they have a different fit, you may find you like. And there is no way to walk out of a boot fitter without dropping more dough than you want, unless you see Larry in Boulder Colorado.

Sounds like you just need to get some simple boot work done. I’ve had problems keeping my heel down in every boot ive owned. My heels are pretty narrow and I also don’t have much arc from my Achilles to the base of my heel. I’m in full tilts right now and just had a foam filler glued onto my liners. The piece is shaped like an upside-down U and goes right above your heel to create some pressure. it works fine and keeps my feet locked down.. maybe something like this would help you.

yea tighter fitting boots aren't gonna eliminate your issue boots are still gonna pack out. just add some heel cup inserts to what u've got build up the heel cup you should be alright. i fit boots.

normally you are dead on but... the narrow freeride 120 is called the World Cup Freeride (hi performance fit)120. If you want the true plug boot fit you want the World Cup 120 WORLD CUP FIT. you can make that boot soft enough if you aren't a little dude.
