TECH QUESTION: remounting

Hey - anybody who knows a lot about mounting skis and shit - so i have a pair of ooolld 193 Line Dragons, they've been mounted once with alpine, had the holes plugged, and now have tele bindings mounted. I'd like to take the tele bindings off, and then mount them AGAIN with alpine bindings. Now the quesiton is, will this work - at all?

Thanks

It could work...maybe.

It all depends on how spaced out all the holes are. The benchmark for mounting is three times and then the skis done...but if the tele bindings and original two alpine spots have enough ski space in between you could go ahead and try. The skis are old so you're not making a really big-money risk, but any time you mount a ski more then three times, you significantly weaken the skis durability and construction as a hole.

If you've got enough space, go for it.

you should be fine no prob at all.

Alpine mounting is usually back of the center of the ski. and uses a mid sole mount. telemark is a toe mount usually close to center if not further forward.

so if you mount these things for alpine again they probably were mounted to a traditional point usually 8 cm back from core center. so just move this mounting point up a little bit maybe plus 1 cm not so far that your gonna get into the tele holes but just enough u know what i mean vern?
