Tax Returns

Gas to get to Utah this fall so I can move there. Getting 2k back. Maine rapes you for taxes but at least they give you it all back.

I got mine back, bought a 50d with a tamron lense, and with the rest I'll be making car payments and insurance payments.

Now this is the most wonderful time of the year. Probably will get a couple hundred which will mos certainly be going towards party favors.

A bunch will go to student loans. I would like to pick up a decent watch though. I guess we'll see what I actually get back. Should be decent though because of graduate retention incentives.

yeah, i payed over $25000 in taxes last year. I don't know how it is on the states but in Canada out tax returns are due April 30th. Deadline to buy RRSPs is February 28th.

My company doesn't match RRSP contributions so there isn't much point in me contributing monthly so I buy lump sums as well I'll be contributing my maximum of $5500 to my tax free savings account. I also donate money throughout the year and I'm getting all my tax receipts back right now. I also went to school twice this year for a total of 4 months, which will qualify me as a full time student.

So far since becoming a journeyman electrician and since the beginning of this tax year (January 1) I've already payed 4000 in taxes. I'm in the 29% braket so I do everything I can to get as much back as I can on my tax return.

I am also going to have to find a way to leagaly tie up my money so I can qualify for interest free student loans since iI plan on pursuing a commerce degree next. But I just make too much money for that. interest free government loans should be available to everyone. I am currently saving for a 20% down payment on a house to avoid CMHCs regulations, and I'm sure if I have zero home equity and a massive debt iI should qualify for the loans. I'm going to have to sit down with the accountant and see what my options are.

no idea guessing 1k-1.5k. Who knows after capital gains and all that i might owe something-

Not sure why people get so happy about returns...congrats you just gave the govt an interest free loan.

Well on the other hand the govt is charging me almost 7% on my student loans.

My friend's dad tried running his business that way. Needless to say the IRS and state FTB caught up to him. Although that was hundreds of thousands, they prioritize who they go after.

yeah i dont think they care too much about my summer job working for a car detailer. plus my boss was a cop anyway. they know bout laws nd shit right?

I'm impressed, I just left a message that some kid named DERS. on an internet forum was working under the table. They must be desperate

There is no way you know a humanbeing so stupid he tries to run his entire business under the table. That's really hard to cover up and you will get caught.

Yeah, ever since he told me (years before the IRS started getting after them) I explained to him that they would totally get caught. Not the smartest guy I know.

yea but you got your 30k up front untaxed all year. u should make a auto deposit account that takes a%/ month from your account and holds it in another account so in the end of the year you dont have to hier somone or do your taxes ull have a huge chunk of money to pull from.

my buddy had to pay 20k last year. he runs his own video production biz.

as for me ill prob get 800 back had to pay like 5500 for last year. fuck this new 2% increase bullshit. uhhh i wish i had my own bussiness.

im going to put it towards a new laser projector. should cover a quarter of the cost.

Pretty sure she's self employed doing web development. You usually pay 20-30% of your net income when doing freelance stuff.

I think its going to be like $300-$400 back for me. Going towards new skis or a surfboard. Decisions, decisions.
