exactly. i think that's a sick idea for a tatoo and sick tatoo in general. repping where you come from has nothing to do with the company, but the company has everything to do with repping where you come from. and that's the east coast man.

that made sense to me, but i'm still half asleep so it could be completely off
 
Who are you to say this tattoo doesn't have any signification for this dude? It's on his shoulder. it's not like it's on his neck or something where it will be some life changing decision that will prevent him from getting a job. And if he ever regrets it, he can just not go out of his way to look at it in the mirror.

Who cares if it's a logo. The font is cool and the words are pretty general.

I have a 4bi9 tattoo on my side. it's a logo, but represents more i my life than any other thing I can think of. to ME it has signification..... maybe not to you, but to me, it does.

 
I don't think you should need tattoos to remember the times when you skied like nobody's business. If you skiing to the max, you should have some scars or x-rays to remind of "that time where you hucked a 60 footer double drop but missed the middle landing and ended up doing the whole 60 feet. Double femur fracture." When you fall hard, you remember, when you fall hard maxing out. Be proud, you gave it your all.

Yeah but skiing and the east cost are significant to him. It just so happens that those words already exist together in a brand. The general ideology of Ski the East seems to correlate with that of a lot of skiers on the East Coast. It's a pretty general logo. A snowflake, and some text.

HE could have the exact same thing that wasn't their official logo and no on would have a problem with it. Maybe he just liked the way the font looks or the snowflake. i dunno... i support it.
 
it is meaningful to me as previously mentioned, and if no one noticed the snowflake is actually a compass that points to the east. which is even more cool.

What do you know about what it's going to be like in twenty years. For all you know, it might not snow, just rain in the east in twenty years. Don't go calling people stupid on that kind of pretence, it makes you look much dumber. Doesn't matter if you believe in climate change/global warming or not.
 
Even if having a logo from a company as tatoo seems weird, ski the east is a logical choice for anyone who ski on th east coast.

if it means something to that dude then it's cool.

I'd rather see that then another dolphin tatoo cause the girl tought dolphins are cute and wanted a tattoo.

I wasn't going out of my way to use proper spelling or grammar. Trying to sound intelligent? I'm sorry you don't understand big words, but that is how I type, I don't browse the dictionary with every post.
Another thing my spell check makes all those didnt look wrong so I fix it to didn't. No big deal.
 
Cool tat, surely not a 10 for creativity, but letters and numbers depicting my brothers birth/death dates isn't very creative either. Sometimes a tat is more about a way of life or memory.

Also ski the east is much more than a clothing company, imo they are breeding all sorts of new love and respect of skiing in all areas. They are just more focused on where they have roots.

Oh yeah by the way everyone knows the west blows and the real gnar skiing is in Europe where they have real mountains.(this is a joke and an attempt at the point of live and let live and love what you've got)
 
thats sick, its good you got something you really wanted, not just getting a tattoo when your 18 because you could. Who cares what it is or says, as long as you like it and it has meaning to you, I dont think anyone else should care. I mean, it's not their body.
 
the british way to spell it is pretence. That's how I learned it, it's right on my spell check so that is how I posted it.
 
Im just saying both ways are correct. Just like colour and color. Or neighbor and neighbour. Mean the same thing, two different ways to spell it. What is Canada other than an British colony anyways?

so you really think thats what he went for? a compass? that just so happens to bear a striking resemblance to a octagonal snowflake, that is nowhere to be found in nature?

...sure. the guy just did the same mistake as hundreds of others when he tried drawing a snowflake but didnt know how ice molecules form. making a snowflake into a compass sounds like a great idea, until you discover the fact that ALL snowflakes are hexagonal.

its his body let him do as he wants, and who cares where you ski, im from southern ontario where the hills almost reach triple digits, as long as you enjoy it fuck the haters. P.S. if you think thats bad a kid im my class has a spitfire tatto on his forearm
