In the recent past there have been a couple links and pictures that have been questionable in content. I firmly believe that we are all responsible enough to handle these posts, however that is not the issue.

The issue is that Harvey needs sponsors to keep this site going, and we should all want to do everything possible to encourage sponsors to donate to what most of us believe to be the best site on the internet.

I am just asking that you think twice before posting anything questionable here so that moderators don't have to try to delete them before sponsors or potential sponsors see them.

I kinda liked the flashyourrack thing, but that's a good point, there has been some questionable stuff that could sink the site.

There was also a couple of pictures uploaded with people lighting up. I dont care at all and find it funny, but sponsors might not like it. Good thinking Rebel!

I agree with Rebel,

Some in-appropriate content would be telling us how high you got or what chick/guy you got laid with.

A serious intelligent discussion about drugs and whatnot is perfectly ok.

SO next time think about what you are about to post and if you think it isn't offensive post it. If you think 'hey they can't censor me' well you just may have to look for a new site because Harvey can't get sponsors and will ultimalely run out of funds to keep this site going.

This site will never be corporate and censored. Rebel just wants people to use your head when posting. It would be great if we could attrack a few sponsors, harvey would really apreciate it!

Rebel is not saying that the site is going to become 'corporate' and will have to censor anything.. I think that people get so hung up with anti-capitalism that they think that anything related to a corporation is the devil.

If a company, be it a corporation, sole-proprietership, or a hobo, wishes to advertise on the site, then what's the problem? Does this mean that our site has gone corporate? No... but why does it matter? Has anything changed? No. You still are bound by the terms of agreement you signed when you joined the site.

If you are concerned about becoming corporate and leaving to another site, would it be better to not have any business relations with anyone and have to shut down, forcing you to go to another site? If Freeze, a corporation, decided to advertise on the site, would you run away to another one worrying about Newschoolers.com becoming too corporate?

We do not want material on this site that is distasteful, racist, sexist, whatever, and that actually has nothing to do with sponsors. Even if NS had no advertising and couldn't care less about anything in the business world, we STILL wouldn't allow it.

speaking of freeze, they are sponsored by lifestyle condoms. because of this, espn wont show the us freeskiing open. and seeing that my post has been erased, mabie i should go to the freeze forum. at least there's no censorship there.

ski2824: In 1999, they made digital signatures legally binding. That means that if you are at a page that says 'By clicking this link, you agree...' and you click that link, you are signing a legally binding contract. When you joined NS, you signed a contract agreeing to 'No pornography'. If you did not agree with the terms of becoming a member, you had the choice to leave without registering. It is my obligation on my side of the contract to see that content that disagrees with the contract be removed.
