that "other guy" aka maks gorham happens to be a pretty dope skiier. and my opinion tail taps and 50-50 tricks are a sick creative style that adds more innovation to freeskiing, for example the 2 off tail taps, and the 50-50 with grabs..it's only adding more style and difficulty to the sport

OP is 100% correct. Taps are gay. I do taps, which means I'm gay. Fortunately I have realized the errors of my ways. I have quit doing taps, and I have accepted the lord Jesus Christ as my savior, and I pray he will lead me away from my sin and toward being heterosexual.

if serious, you probably shouldnt have made this thread.. but at the same time, you can think whatever you want. personally i think that anything new / different is more than needed in our sport especially now.. consider the progression in skiing over the past 5 / 10 years and realize that, yes a lot of skiers can hit all the rails, and do front 2’s out, but in order for skiing to progress, we gotta do new shit.. its pretty obvious to me, and i think taps are simply one of many directions to be creative / innovative.. dunno why you gotta hate just cause not everybody does (or even is capable of) doin em.... /mini-rant
 
For the 50/50 argument, look at logan imlach. 3 out of the 50/50 handrail in after dark was rediculous
 
i can do every trick he did. he skipped jumps to hit a box. only does natural rotations, even on rails. none of his airs were off axis. i didnt want this thread to turn into picking on this poor guy, but you guys made it go that way.

taps are still stupid. also, to who posted the martini video. that clip at 0:29 wasnt a tap, it was a bonk.

taps dont add difficulty and make the trick look worse.

Hello idiots, I have read the entire thread and come to the conclusion that this entire thing is bullshit. All your fucking winging, oh these triples are unstylish, taps are gay, Double flips off rails are retarded. Stop your fucking complaining! As skiing continues people will be more creative and broaden the sport of skiing. As much as all the newschoolers like to complain, people will be creative so they can have fun. At the end of the day, skiing will always be what we want it to be. Look at Gus K. First ever double flip off a rail. That's broadening the sport and creating a wide range of different things we can do in skiing. I don't give a fuck, go and -k me. We need to stop and see skiing for what it really is and accept that people have different preferences
