heres an example of why taps are stupid.

i bet most of you have already seen this video so its the game of skate video with matt walker and some other guy ive never heard of who keeps tapping his way to victory. tapping looks ugly, doesnt add difficulty, and makes skiing look gayer with each one completed. also, doing "50-50's," and "180 ons" is also gay. oh, so is that thing where they wash out on the landing after a rail...dont think they do it in this video, but that shit is gay as hell.

you are the best and most influential person in the whole skiing community and everyone should listen to you.

OP, go and try a nosetap 270 on, or a tail tap front 270 off. Then come back and tell us how they are stupid. They actually require a respectable amount of skill to complete properly, you should respect the guys who can do them.
 
Unless you're doing like 2 on pretzel 6 all the time and you just love spinning you should probably be trying some 180s on and taps and shuffles. Do what you like, but if you don't do them you will never be as awesome as the guys who are ballin' with it. This thread is now about those awesome dudes.

no offense to you, but i can't stand watching all your taps when you ski. The OP is wrong by making a thread on it because everyone just having fun but i'm personally not a fan of the "tap style" i think it looks absolutely awful and gypsy. it's not smooth which is why i would argue it's not that great of a style
 
Taps = Rad especially on a flat down rail and you hop off just before the down and tap the very end of the rail. (hope that wasn't to confusing)
 
i completely disagree. your proposed trick is the very thing that makes skiing on rails look forced, ugly, and chaotic.
 
I honestly think that taps look pretty sick, especially Walkers like in the Jiberish "Do Werk" edit. It's all preference and style.
 
OP doesnt know what hes talking about. Maks only did 2 tap tricks the whole game. There were also some dope jumps, pretzels, and 50/50 tricks. Dont hate on someone you dont know whos blowing up biggg
 
when people do it too much, like the dude in the video u posted it kinda drives me crazy, but usually there pretty sick
 
this guy maks is not gonna blow up with that wack ass air style...or a fitted hat. i like the part where he mentions "no taps" in one of his tricks. he must tap a shit ton normally.
 
honestly this cat gets dumber each post. maks is arguably the best rider on RMU and has electric and skullcandy as sponsors. youre dumb. stop posting.
