ya since he got injured he went through a whole sitting and thinking about his future period and he decided to get it together because he is pretty much done with the sport

This has been the most difficult decision I've made in my life.
I am resigning from my position as a professional skier to follow academic pursuits.
I'd like to start by thanking everyone for making my career as a professional skier possible. With out your support, my friends, family, sponsors, fans, and haters alike, I'd have never been able to live the dream life that I've lived for the past 10 years.
Skiing has been an incredible avenue for my self expression, and I plan to stay involved with the sport in some capacity, however, I've done lots of thinking since my recent injury. Its made me realize that I am mortal, and life must go on after skiing. I've applied to numerous colleges, and will be enrolled in the fall semester. Instead of fading into the sunset, I'm going out on the top. I hope my contributions to the sport will help others follow in my footsteps.

First off: ^ You need to bring your bitching somewhere else. I'd like to see you grab those medals as consistently as Tanner.
Secondly: I do not think this quitting skiing thing is true. If it was posted any other day than today, I'd believe it, but no. If however it is true, I will cry. This is the man who opened my eyes up to freeskiing, and has inspired me in many ways. Props to Tanner for what he's accomplished.

^ yeh tmoney will ski until he is dead...or damn near. but if he is quitting skiing it will most likley be just for a bit so he can catch p on his multiplication tables and heel his foot. Tanner has influenced me in skiing in to many ways to count and had even got me into the sport of freeskiing and for that i am in debt to him....thank u Tanner if u end up reading this thread for all u have done,

The full story on the switch 9 Chads is that T cleared it, but wasn't satisfied with how it looked on film, so he went back up.
The first thing he is gonna do when he is back on skis and snow conditions are fine, is to go to Alta and switch 9 Chad's Gap.
