i dunno man, when he isnt on top of the game anymore, and their are younger pros out there progressing the sport, dont you think they will be the ones filling up the slots in the industry?

itll just be interesting to see what happens i guess. since our sport is still really young, i dont think there is any telling for sure...

He didn't graduate from high school? I don't care who you are or what you're doing right now. That's an extremely regreattable decision. I'm sure that he'll be secured a team manager gig eventually, but I just think it's a wicked bad idea not to graduate from high school, let alone college.

he is easily set for life or for at least 20 years after his career is over. but hes got such raw talent, he isn't gonna be fading away anytime fast. hes been around for a while. basically since the beginning. he was in degenerates and shit, thats a long fuckin time ago. i don't agree with his dropping out of high school. but look where its got him. most of you would drop out to if you could follow tanners path. and yeah he has sponsorships comin out his ears. oakley treats there althletes well to. Tanners gonna be living large for a VERY VERY long time.

He's probably not even thinking about the future right now but if he has half a brain I'm sure in a couple of years he will realize he needs to plan for his future and use his status to start some company or camp or god knows what. He has already done that now to some extent by partaking in Armada.

 
tanner makes 6 figures each year... and is absolutely guaranteed a suitable job that will more than pay to live a good solid life...highschool is not everything. Having your highschool diploma is merely a social thing. Everything I've learned in my life certainly hasn't come out of highschool. Fucking highschool, retarded kids graduate all the time...its really no big deal. And since tanner is making more money than almost ANY kid who graduated highschool will make in the next three years of their life to one year of his...he'll be just fine. Dont hate the playa, hate the game. Tanner is the bom diggity and thats the bottom line.

You are far better off getting your GED, doing your general ed at community/junior college, and transfering to your school of choice. People who do that accually do better in college because they are there by choice, not like everyone else who is there because its the thing to do after high school. You also save tons of money going on that path. In conclusion, high school is a waste of time and effort, and Tanner is way more successfull right now than most of you will be in 20 years.

Man who said tanner was gonna fade is an idiot! He's top the game like him or hate him. He's the bread and butter, some of you think he's just posing and a fad. DAMMIT the kid is the best in the game (arguably obviously) but he can throw ANYTHING and with insane amounts of STYLE. He is totally lined up with a career after he's done with competing and promos. But as for what I think, Tanner has been pro or sponsored since he was 10 and I don't think he's even near his prime!

remember that little company called armada that everyone keeps fussig about? tanner is not just one of the first riders for the company, he is part of the company. when the company takes off and becomes big, he is making an assload of money because he is a parner of the company. he was smart enough to invest his money in the right thing. don't worry about tanner, he is on top of everyone else in the entire ski industry, don't you think he is on top of his own life?

It's great for Tanner that he's set for awhile. He's not going anywhere not and when he stops comepeting he'll secure a job spot with Armada or someone else. But I think it's ignorant to think that any kid can just drop outta high school and make it. You can't get a lot of jobs in the world without a diploma or GED. Good for Tanner doing all this one year out of high school, but I wouldn't drop outta high school to compete and become a pro skier because the odds are really against you.

peta...tanner didnt come up with a new trick to win all the comps. switch rodeo...that was done long before he did it to win everything. both mike laroche and skogen sprang were doing them, twice as sick as he did (in my opinion). a switch rodeo 7 japan(by skogen), got 2nd in the x-games the year before tanner won them.

Yeah shutup. A high school diploma is bullshit. I mean you're right you need it but I don't respect anyone because they have one. Highschool is bullshit and over the past 4 years tanner has had more experinces and probably learned more about life than all of you little bitches save one or two. Secondly believe it or not our sport is young and I refuse to believe (despite history) that it will ever realll slump again, skateboarding is a good example. And lets look all the way back to the dogtown days (no not the companie foo'). Tanner has been in it since thirteen, back when there wern't so many fucking posers around. Tanner has certainly given to the sport, regrdless if you like him, his outlook whatever you watch his segments and hits hard son. Don't tell me that he isn't near the end of the landing almost every jump. Tanner will get a job with a company because of who he is. Think about the experience he's already had, thats not worth money.You're all far too concerned with money and that will be your punishment in life.
