I felt that Tanners run may have even been a little better than Gagnier's but being a judge in that situation would just suck cuz they were both really good runs. I was kinda surprised though when Gagnier got that high of a score.

i've never met T Hall but i don't like the wigger style too much. so to balance both aspects, i'll rely on my own insecurity and stereotypes and call him a bitch. but suck my nuts if you think you can judge people when you don't know them.

 
judging sucks because no matter what, somebody is gonna disagree, thats just how it is.

I also saw that thing with tanner and i thought he was pretty good about not being a bitch. he didnt blatently just come out and say the judges were wrong i should have won, all he said was that its dissapointing getting silver because it means he scored enough to win, but still lost...it makes sense to me

guys, seriously give him a break. Picture yourself in the situation. He has worked hard to get where he's at, it did not come easy. It took alot of dedication and commitment. If you guys have seen him ride he will be out there relentlessly run after run just drilling the park. If he crashes, he gets right back up and try it again.

He has my respect because he has been paving the way. Have you guys read some of the articles he's done? If you look past the drama and the whole new ''anti racing'' movement that has just been prepetuating you will see him say that his greatest accomplishment has been his renewed relationship with his parents. His greatest moment was when he won the bmw... and was able to give it to his mom.

Beyond the bull, the image, the hype, the rumors.. I think this right here shows his true character. I completely agree with you guys in that he isn't always a perfect role model, there has been times where he's acted immature, and times where he's fucked up. But hell, who hasn't?

Beyond all this, I see a guy who is very passionate about what he does and who has worked hard to get there.

He might've complained, bitched, and moaned at the xgames that he was robbed. But, look at it through his perspective. I could almost guarantee that what he was complaining about was mostly disappointment in himself.

I've done the same thing. I'll lose at something and I will get pissed. But I'm not upset at the person who won, becuase most of the time the person who won rightfully deserved it.. and I know that. I'm upset at myself, because I was capable of doing better.

After watching the three clips on expn.com just now I'd have to say Jon's run was the best in my opinion. All of his tricks looked effortless and huck-free. I thought his runs were better than Gangier and Halls.

On a side note why can't gangier speak English? I thought english was the national language of Canada?

all he had to do was trick the first rail on any run with that sick combo on the second and the tweaked 9 was fine.

But when charles one foots it and style don't even need the 10 to win. Tanner didn't deserve it if he wanted it he was fully capable and chose not to.

Charles didn't say a word and tanner freaks after every run take it for what it is.

 
I agree, I hate Tanner Hall so much. If it were anyone else I would be able to sympathize, but after the countless incedents like at FUBAR in Vail I have no respect for him and the image he gives the sport.

Fuck you guys, and all this 'doesnt matter, be happy your a skier' bs. You obviously have never been much of an athlete if you believe it. Winning is really important, and if he thinks he was robbed than so be it. It doesnt make it proper etticit to say it but, he is the best skier on the planet right nowso he has every right. NOBODY has won more major awards than this guy, this is the like 4th or 5th straight year tanner got a xgames medal, so sftu, or produce better.

Tanner is a god and he workes harder than any of you will ever work in your eintire miserable lives. The kid is probably one of if not the most dedicated skier in the sport. I watched the runs and in my opinion he should have won. That's the way I look at it, but when there's judging involved anything can happen. Have some respect for one of the best in your sport...especially the kid who started this thread, you will never be anywhere near his level, therefore you have no place passing judgement on him. nuff said.

I was stannding right there when all that FUBAR shit went down. Chris Biolo is the whole reason it got out of hand, T was just drunk in the club, got thrown out, the cops were talkin to him holding his arm when out of left field comes Biolo trying to drag the cop off tanner...

Shortly after his second-place finish in Ski Slopestyle finals, Tanner Hall sat down with ESPN's Julie Fitzpatrick to talk candidly about his displeasure with the outcome of the event, his missed four-peat and why silver sometimes isn't enough.

Q: Tell me what happened.

A: I was going for my fourth gold medal in Slopestyle, and fifth if you count the Big Air event before. I put together the run of my life. Did a trick on the rail that I had never done before, the 450 on the backside 270 out. Right after I landed that, I was like 'it's on.' There was one guy left, Charles Gagnier. You know, much respect, he's a great skier. Don't get me wrong. I'm super happy with second place.

I got ecstatic, but when you have a whole bunch of people coming up and saying, 'Oh, I think you got robbed,' it makes it harder, especially when you're going for your fourth and could have made X Games history. It makes you feel that you got robbed little bit. But now I've gotta tell you what, the fire is inside to win my first gold medal in the pipe, so that's what I'm looking forward to.

Q: Was the three-peat pressure or a confidence-builder?

A: There's a little bit more pressure because I was thinking about that a lot, four-peat, four-peat. It was always in my mind. But up after the first run, I was skiing that course pretty well. But sometimes it goes the way you want to and sometimes it doesn't. I'm super stoked because it was a great day for skiing. The level is getting better every year. It's actually looking like a legit sport, ya know

Q: This was probably the biggest run for your money yet. CR had a good run, Dumont had a good run. Tell me about the other people.

A: Like I said, everybody came up and said I got robbed. When I heard CR's score and Dumont's score, I was like, What? Are you kidding me? Simon is definitely not skiing at a sixth place or a fourth place, and neither is CR. When the two kids who got robbed come up to you, and their just shaking their heads, like, What's going on? It's just, (sigh) ...

Q: Tell me what it was like to come down in that finish corral.

A: It was great to stomp that last 1080 and look around and see hands in the air and hear the crowd roar.

Q: Tell me how much it hurts not to get the four-peat.

A: It doesn't hurt, it sucks. It sucks because you know, hey, Charles Gagnier won for sure. His skiing was undeniable and his run was perfect. But when I come down through the finish area and everyone's saying 'that's the run', and he comes down and they're saying 'don't worry about it', it makes it tougher.

Q: Tell me about the medal ceremony.

A: Well, the one good thing was I didn't have to walk up as high as I had to before. I was stoked to be up there with my boy Jon Ollsen and Charles Gagnier for his first Winter X Games gold medal. That was really cool. I might have not showed him much emotion on the podium because it sucks getting second place.

Q: So you taking this to Pipe?

A: I'm so stoked. I wanna be right back on top. Yeah, take all that aggression out on the pipe, for sure.
