Misinterpreted? How is "Racing will be nothing in ten years" misinterpreted? How about when he goes to bars gets shitfaced acts like a dick and then says "DO you know WHO I AM? I'm the BEST SKIER IN THE WORLD" Do you think that he's doing a good job of representing our sport? Perhaps you've never seen how he acts when he loses events, such as whining like a child running around pouting at events.

Your low level of reading comprehension as far as that Freeskier Tanner Hall interview is concerned ASTOUNDS me. The Rhalves hate-fest was incited by an irresponsible Denver Post columnist and Rhalves himself, not Hall. If you look back at that interview, you'll notice that the only racer mentioned by name is Body Miller. Rhalves just jumped in when he figured out he could get some publicity during the resulting media scuffle. But you know what? Congratulations on thinking that Tanner Hall is a sadsack excuse for a newschool skiing ambassador, it's exactly what the media whores want you to think. Good job on jumping onto that bandwagon, you hypocritical fool.

Go watch your shitty, boring, unoriginal MSP movies. I'll be watching Pop Yer Bottlez and enjoying skiing for what it is and what it's becoming, rather than what it once was.

Also why don't you explain to me "what skiing is becoming" From what I can see it's becoming a snotty sport filled with elitest's who care more about the politics and the image than the actual skiing itself, you can have that future because I want no part of it. wasnt meant to be taken "literally" just a unique little act that was there to spruce things up in a ski movie. instead of having the same shot repeated four to five times in slo-mo. did you happen to hear the iberg interview on ns radio a few motnhs back?? im gonna assume you didnt. he made it perfectly clear that kye and sean are not midgets, rory is not a psycho, c.r is in no way shape or form tom cruise and mick is not a pimp straight outaa the 70's. take it for what it was, a step away from the ordinary.

Granted it was "unique" for a ski movie but that doesn't make it good. I just thought Evan Raps was a joke, untill my friend told me he really talks like that. It was a little too much lifestyle/advertisments/talking and not enough skiing. When the C-crew is all in that cottage posing in different positions I thought it was pretty laughable aswell. Some day they will look back on that and wonder what the fuck they were thinking. I don't dislike people for who they are but when they are trying hard to be something they are not, it shows.

thats the point though. they were not TRYING to be somethign they were not, they weer fucking acting ..... except maybe Dj e-raps i can totaly agree that he was terrible, but he is easy enough to fast forward through.

That whole "in his own words" section read like a forced apology, especially the MSP part. What did he do to make Steve Winter and Murry Wais "disgusted"? Did he play with his poop or something along those lines?

 
I see what MSP has done for the industry and it almost negates the hate they put on Berman...Almost. I love Berman and his movies, and I'm sure they would rock even more if he had the budget MSP has to work with. And before someone hates on me for saying that MSP has done something for the industry, they have....they were one of the first ski movies to fully embrace twin tip skiing, and feature it in their movies. Recently, not so much...but respect what they have done in the past to help freeskiing.

Throughout out the entire interview, even though he says he is not, Tanner is obviously trying to act a bit more mature. He realizes, for many reasons I'm sure, that there is no point in bashing people all the time. It will get him nowhere and only cause bad publicity. Even if he disagrees with what MSP does now, he would have to respect them because they did raise him in the industry and he was their poster boy. He just gave them props. He didn't tell everyone to buy their movies. I think he is just acting more level headed. Nothing wrong with that. Now the real problem is a front page article only being one page long.
